Wathai Cooling Case Fan for Receiver DVR Xbox TV Box Router 120mm x 25mm 5V USB Power

The fan was ordered for a Zapperbox M-1 was warm to the touch, I wasn’t sure it would do the job as the fan on high didn’t feel that much air was moving out of the fan to cool the Zapperbox but after about 15 minutes it has cooled the Zapperbox down. It does a great job easy to use and install, it has pre installed feet and a fan speed control plug for not usb port, quiet fan

This fan has been sitting atop my Internet Hotspot device and it has been running 24-hours-per-day for a few weeks now. -- It never heats up ---It has never failed except in a power outage --I can not even hear it running, it is so quiet ---I have to put my hand above it to feel the air it expels when I want to make sure it is still running --- This is an amazingly high-quality item and it was very economical to purchase and it uses very little electric ---and it keeps my electronic device cool -- I am always going to have one of these on hand and, in fact, I have a spare in my desk drawer just in case ..... but I doubt I am ever going to have to use the spare. I love this little fan....dearly love it!

I've been happy to use this fan for an unintended purpose that it was not advertised to be able to serve, but it has been working great for several months. I have a 2013 Dell laptop whose internal fan has failed and therefore cannot be operated for more than a few minutes before it threatens to overheat. Given the age of the laptop, I cannot fault manufacturer construction quality. The laptop's performance would continue to be adequate for my needs, so adding this cooling case fan nicely extends the useful life. This cooling case fan is quite sturdy, so I am able to use some tape to secure it to the bottom of my laptop so it remains in the correct X-axis/Y-axis position where it blows into the laptop's air intake vents. Then the laptop sits perched comfortably on top of the cooling case. Of course the result becomes immovable but that's fine for my needs. Various utilities can monitor and report on internal temperatures of a laptop, I happen to use SpeedFan and am happy with the temperatures reported. I can feel good air flow coming out of the laptop's air exhaust vents; and the surfaces of the laptop that would feel hot if the laptop was overheating now feel nice and tepid. Although I routinely sit with my ears about 24 inches from the cooling case fan, it is quiet enough to not be bothersome. It can even be considered to usefully generate very even white noise. Note this unadvertised purpose will not necessarily work for every laptop.

This is the most powerful usb powered fan I could find for my project to keep cool my Dell Small Factor computer. Anything more powerful required an electric plug connection which I didn’t want. It’s relatively quiet and flexible with configuration to either pull or push air. The fan turns on when I power up the computer and turns off when I power down. It has helped with the other interior case fan to keep my graphics card temperature in the 50’s while playing demanding games.

I bought this to keep my modem and router cool. I've had it for a little while now. Seems to work really well. Keeps it cool so far anyway

I really do not like any noise at all, I am very sensitive to any sound that can interfere with my train of thought. The lower setting is so quiet that I have to sometimes check to make sure that the fan is still working. Even at this low setting, it still produces enough cooling to keep the device from getting too hot so it definitely works. I use this for a mini PC and it is the perfect size for it.

Quiet and works for keeping my modem cool.

I use this to cool my T-Mobile 5G Modem. It used to overheat and just shut down, now it runs perfectly. It's quiet, easy to clean, and very helpful

I'm updating my review to 5 stars because this fan works great, just not under my modem. After I had installed it under the modem, I noticed that my PVR box was also running hot, so I moved the fan and put it ON TOP of the PVR box. (I noticed that the PVR box only had ventilation holes on the top.) Beauty! This fan is SILENT when used in this application. Works like a dream. I only need to run it on the first setting to keep the box lovely and cool. ***** If this was under a modem in my basement I might not mind the hum. But it's in the corner of the master bedroom, and even my deaf husband can hear it running on low. I was initially very impressed that it came with speed control, but it's not silent on the slowest speed, so I'm not very happy with it.
