Feels solid and performance flawless
As I am new to control panel building, I was recommended this cable stripper by a friend. They are excellent. They feel solid, and although they are plastic, it is a strong and heavy plastic. They strip the singles with ease, and the length adjuster is very handy. The cable cutter being on top is also a good design, making it easier to see where you are cutting, in comparison to some I have seen that have the cutter at the bottom of the device. All in all so far so good and I would recommend.

Good addition, shines brightly on certain types of wires/cables.
I have a few wire stripping tools in my kit, I like this one because it's light and reliable, but, I noticed that it tends to struggle a little more on thinner gauge wires. It's great for Romex/T+E cable and for sheathes on any kind of control or network cable, but the small conductors, just, no. Performs well, comparable to my rock-solid reliable Stanley Fatmax, and I have a Tempo/Greenlee/Paladin StripAx 6 Pro for thinner conductors that's virtually infoulable. Overall, if you do house wiring/commercial wiring, totally rocks in the T+E/Control cable/automotive arena, this is a good piece of kit and I'm very satisfied. By the way, this is the identical tool to a Knipex automatic wire stripper (there are many variants, but, the one that looks identical to this one), except at lesser cost.

A good tool for a very specific use-case
I bought these to compare with the Jokari FKZ and could find no practical difference when using them as the blade design appears almost identical. The Jokari has a slightly larger handle and rubberised grip but there's really very little in it, just buy whichever is cheapest. Functionality wise it's excellent for the specific task of stripping 1.5 and 2.5 twin and earth inside socket back boxes and in tight locations near a light fitting etc. For any other use it's fine but not recommend it. Unless you are doing a lot of installation of sockets, id probably go with a more general stripping tool first.

It cuts a spiral, not a tidy ring!
This tool has the potential to be absolutely great, but it is let down by one really quite large flaw - it wanders. I have used this tool a myriad of times now, and not once have I had it create a single neat ring around the insulation of a cable, every single time it "spirals" up the wire instead of going straight, despite the retaining grip at the top. I have tried pushing the retaining grip down whilst stripping, I have tried setting the blade deeper, and I have tried manually guiding the tool to create a neat "ring" around the cable being stripped, but to no avail. So why 3 stars? It is an absolute pain to use, and I wish I paid more and got the CK ArmourSlice instead, but despite it being a pain it does actually strip the insulation - it just needs a lot of tidying up before it is ready to receive a lug. In reality I do not think that this is very good value for money considering the results it gives, but then again it is half the price of the Armourslice.

Just another injection moulded unit with very poor cutting blade, over priced.
Why did you choose this product over others?: Having seen similar used in YouTube videos I had high hopes for this product And at £23.00 expected a quality durable product, I was sadly greatly disappointed . Just another injection moulded unit with very poor cutting blade. The individual cable part stopped cutting after only a dozen flex, not even cable, was stripped. I am returning.

Doesn’t work on Australian cable
Tool seems decent quality but just a heads up for anyone else in Australia - the stripper doesn’t work on our tps. It struggles through 1.5mm, and doesn’t work at all on 2.5 as it’s too thick.
