Cat Repellent, Ultrasonic Animal Repeller Battery Operated Fox Deterrent Cat Scarer for Garden

This is the third of these repellers I've bought - not because they break down but because they work so well. We have a big garden on three sides of our house. The repellers have a very wide range of field but there was one blind spot. And of course, after several badger-free months, the creatures found it and started digging. And boy do they dig. So, I ordered a third repeller to cover the blind area, and we have hardly seen a badger since - except one dark night when I took the dog out for a pee, and we met in the bushes (!). You never know if these things will work, whether very expensive or very cheap, but for badgers at least, they do. I am now buying them for local friends who are moaning about the badger damage to their lawns.

I found the zonpor very easy to set up and it keeps its charge very well. I have a small garden in my yard and a cat was using it every night for its toilet. However I found out some humans can hear it also. I cannot however my grandchildren and neighbours can. My daughter cannot but my son can. My neighbours dog can but my dog cannot. I now switch it off during daylight hours as I was activating it when I walked past and have to remember to put it back on when it gets dark. I have only had the cat in once and that was when I forgot to set it so I have to assume it is working.

Setting 2 for cats stops working after a whlie no matter how sensitivity is set, all other settings ok so nothing to do with solar chraging or battery. Battery cover screws corroded straight away so batteries can not be removed easily On all settings a painfully high pitch noise can be heard by human ear. Less than 8 months use and unit has filled with water. On taking unit apart the varaible resistor has corroded and no lonfer works due to water entering under the button which is not sealed at all. Circuit board corroed due to water ingress. Aluminium stake splits easliy when driving into grass. Very poor performance, quality, endurance. best avoided.

So far so good. We have had a problem with foxes coming into our front garden and foaling everywhere. Our garden is quite long so i may have to think about purchasing another one as i dont think the reach is far enough. However we haven't seen or had any fox poo at the top part of the garden. However it still looks as if they are visiting in the bottom part. I am thankful they have not got free range of my garden so in that sense this item seems to have kept them at bay somewhat. It is handy that during the winter months this item is able to be charged by usb. It has various different settings for frequency depending on which animals you wish to keep at bay. For foxes we have put it on setting 1. I tend to switch it off during the day. As it can get annoying .

Saw a cat in my garden on second day of putting this on my lawn. There’s also a rat decided to roam around. I’m not sure if this is actually making any difference or not !?

Didn't stop the local cats, they must be particularly resilient. More annoying was the fact the minimum distance for the motion sensor seems to be about 3m, this meant that everytime I walked out the front door it went off. Not really impressed.

Very happy with this purchase. It keeps the local cats away from our garden, which is exactly what I need to stop cats doing their business on the lawn. It also includes a flashing light and other settings for different animals. It's very easy to use. Also, the fact that you can charge it by USB without fully relying on the solar charging is very useful. On a cloudy day it does need a top up by USB charging. After a few days you can definitely see how well it works and I would recommend this to anyone having cat problems in their garden.

I have only started using this item but it seems to do the job. My only concerns are: 1) It is a little bit flimsy looking and might not stand up to the rigours of the UK weather. Time will tell. 2) The instructions are terrible (literal translation into English from a Chinese original language, I would guess. Read the reviews to get a better idea of how to operate this item. Warning – keep at arm's length! If you have sensitive hearing like I do, you run the risk of blasting yourself with the shrill, high-pitched alarm. Lastly, I think it's a little bit on the expensive side. But, again, I might change my mind two years from now when it's still functioning perfectly.
