The PICTURES and words will take you back to when life was a simpler time (for most). They seem to have covered everything and I know they didn't but it damn sure looks like it! I had a friend visiting over the weekend and the next thing I knew page after page she was laughing recounting her memories out loud. Like I said, this book takes you back!

I LOVE this book
I LOVE this book. I got it as a coffee table book meant to be a conversation starter. It's so much more than pictures. It's also an encyclopedia of sorts. Yo cop this!
WOW! I fell in love with this book while at Busboys & Poets in DC while waiting to be seated. Literally, that night, when I got home, I ordered it from Amazon. For those of us that really did grow up during the birth of rap & hiphop - HIP HOP RAISED US! This book is like a huge family reunion for the era of rap & hip hop. The PICTURES and words will take you back to when life was a simpler time (for most). They seem to have covered everything and I know they didn't but it damn sure looks like it! I had a friend visiting over the weekend and the next thing I knew page after page she was laughing recounting her memories out loud. Like I said, this book takes you back!

Best Value for the Book
THIS IS THE BEST HIP HOP BOOK OUT. I randomly searched for this on amazon after I saw everywhere else I looked it was well over $70 plus shipping, or sold out. I could not believe that I actually found it and it wasn't sold out. If you love hip hop, this is a must read. The book is HUGE with colorful pages, articles, all kinds of stuff. It was better than I even thought it would be. I bought it as a gift and almost kept it for myself. I got such a great deal on it, especially for how incredible the book is.

Great read! Although I had heard of DJ Semtex
Great read! Although I had heard of DJ Semtex, I was not familiar with his background. His story is not only inspirational but aspirational as well. Everything about this book is awesome: from the great stories, to the gorgeous photos and construction of the book itself. Highly recommended!

ITS EPIC
Its STUNNING! I wasnt sure which to choose between the hardcover and the paperback. Hardcover was super pricey but I'm glad I went with the paperback because it looks just as thick and classy. Love love love it.

Beautiful book, poor packaging
This book was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It's a large textbook style book with beautiful photos. He read the book, commenting on it while reading, in a few short hours. He enjoyed it so much he keeps it out in the living room to show off; it really is a beautiful looking book to display especially for hip hop fans. My only problem was that the cover had a bend in it on the corner and it seems like it might begin to fray. For me, I immediately wanted to return it for that but he decided to keep it.

Da avere assolutamente!
Mastodontica opera in lingua inglese (ma questo non è un problema, la maggior parte sono foto) sulla storia del movimento Hip-Hop, ripercorrendo tutte le fasi dalla nascita ai giorni nostri. Il volume è veramente di grandi dimensioni, quindi le tantissime e rare foto all'interno aggiungono più valore. È un libro che tutti gli appassionati (e non solo) di questa immensa cultura dovrebbero assolutamente avere nella propria biblioteca, anche solo per la copertina che rappresenta fedelmente il technics '1200', oggetto di culto e fondamentale dell' Hip-Hop tutto.

Amazing
Amazing book! Finaly the bible of hiphop has emerged. I needed that book to consolidate all my thoughts and dreams of my younger years. I'll take this book in my grave to pass on the other side while the struggle down here continues. Fast delivery, Impeccable state, Thanks to "Books etc"!
