ACO 37241 Quartz Plus 3-Feet Wavy Grate Design

This shower drain is awesome. It provides a high end appearance and performance is very good. The shower floor was much easier to slope in a single direction. The floor is also much more comfortable with only 3/16 inch per foot slope.

love the design but installation may be difficult. Must create just the right pitch in shower floor. Am still steaming over changed Amazon return policy that made me eat similar 40" drain costing over $120, when I ordered in advance of installation and couldn't return the one that was not used.

The style is great, and it seems to work fine (shower not complete yet). What I didn't, like is that the drain is made from cheap plastic with only the cover being stainless. We'll see how well it holds up, but had I known probably would have stayed away.

Our plumber approves he has installed both stainless and plastic base, he sees nothing wrong with the plastic base (the pipes for the drain are plastic as well so what). The drain looks great and the price is great.

I wasn't too worried about having just the stainless steal cover, but what the picture doesn't show is that the cheap grey kid-toy plastic is exposed around the edge of the entire grate. Not worth all of the custom tile work just to have cheap grey plastic showing. Worth the $50 to get all stainless steal.

The plastic base is not solid enough to effectively tile up to it. We had to REMOVE this drain because of the leaking.

Had to return it

This drain looks great in our newly remodeled shower. We moved the drain spout from the middle to the one end. Filled the hole with silicone and glued the spout pvc glue. One suggestion would be to cut a piece of hardy board or plywood to replace the stainless screen, during installation. The cement floor around the tray put a squeeze on ours and the stainless screen was hard to get back in.
