The game is EA Brand, so any issues must go through them (if they still support this game). The Seller only Sells the CD/Key, nothing more.

The Battlefield of the future
If you are one of the many people that love the first person shooter type of video game, or like the previous games like Battlefield Vietnam or the battlefield games that came before that, the high tech weapons and vehicles that you can use in Battlefield 2142 will blow you away. The hand held weapons come in such a variety that any type of player from the sniper to the normal type of "grunt" should be satisfied with the attack and abilities of each style of soldier. The idea of mobile "headquarters" was a nice touch, along with adding extra weapons that any type of soldier can use in the mobile headquarters such as anti aircraft and ground based weapons. The piloting is as real as it gets in a video game . The helicopter "like" design of the aircraft along with V.T.O.L. capabilities. You also get to choose between an "assault version and a troop carrier, though the troop carrier requires passengers to be able to defend itself where as the assault version the pilot has the ability to fire both guns and missiles. When someone who likes combat style video games gets their hands on this game they will be well pleased, both with the game play and action available. The game comes with an option to play single player and multi-player with the multi-player giving you faster leveling and points. A good game for PC gamers, though I cant say if it compares with the newer battle type games for the X-Box or PS3. Still a good game for people who like this genre of game. Battlefield 2142 (DVD-ROM) Oh and one more thing , If you do buy this game here at Amazon you can expect to get it right on time and in good shape, mine was delivered within a week and in pristine condition.

1. The redeem code is not vaild for activates on your Origin library. 2. I got trouble it said MD5error for sever.zip, then I try manually installing. What I found is that data2.cab is already corrupted. Can't fix that, take it as a collectible : )

Game is very disappointing, extremely buggy, and sound so bad it's worth muting!
After pre-ordering and receiving Battlefield 2142 a while back, I finally got the time to install and try Battlefield 2142, and shortly thereafter, uninstall it. I was really looking forward to this game as I am a huge fan of Battlefield 2. If you are considering Battlefield 2142 and do not have Battlefield 2, stop immediately and get a copy of Battlefield 2 first. The graphics are just as good and the game is better in every way I can think of, unless possibly if you're an absolute future nut in which that might make one aspect an improvement over it's predecessor, but it simply does not compare. ...and then I would suggest Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam as well as some other first person shooters: Call of Duty 2, Counter Strike Source or the original, Day of Defeat Source or the original, Half-Life 2, any of the Unreal Tournaments, Doom 3, Quake 3, and even Quake 4 (which I was greatly disappointed with). The gameplay is decent, but it' predecessor was superior in almost every way - those who have played Battlefield 2, or almost any other good first person shooter since 1998 are going to be very disappointed. First, they tried to combine classes from Battlefield 2 down to four classes. In Battlefield 2, you had a vast range of options to choose from - Special Ops for a balanced class, Assault for a great man-to-man combat class, Anti-tank to destroy vehicles but not very good against ground troops and so on. In Battlefield 2142, the Assault class, Recon class (Sniper meets spec ops), and Support classes are all good against ground troops, but are useless against vehicles. The Engineer has been crossed with the Anti-tank and can destroy vehicles, but can't put much of a dent in troops on foot. But here's where it gets bad. The sound is absolutely horrible, so bad that I found myself doing what most others seem to do, muting it (and we all know how unenjoyable FPS is without sound, but it's worse with sounds on). At first, I thought my sound card was broken, but that appears to not be the case as the menu music, and everything else, sounds fine. It reminds me of what one might expect for sound on an old Atari game from 1985, except it has much more static and occassional voice tips and bot chatter which is so covered in static it is hard to make out. If we somehow forget how to build a functional radio in 136 years, then I fear for all of humankind. I could have easily given the game another star if the sound was at least acceptable. And it may have got three stars if it wasn't for the fact that this game generates random blue screens periodically. After receiving a random blue screen of death sometime during the course of a round, an error that occurs in no other game or application ever on this computer, this game really is not very enjoyable. UPDATE: The blue screens went away, and the sound is a bit better since I no longer use a Creative X-Fi sound card, but the sounds are still poor in this game. I'd up it to 2 or 3 stars now that the blue screen problem has been fixed.

Mediocre game, save your money
Figuring that I loved BF2, three years I rushed to buy BF2142 to play it in all its glory. Since that fateful day when I wasted a few days lunch money, I have spent few hours playing this game. Installing was a hassle, singing in to EA was a hassle, and playing was a hassle. I had to play for several hours before I could even figure out what was going on. Forget about doing well, that was too much work. Nevertheless, I stuck with it enough to be do well in matches, although I was never really satisfied. The balance of the game seemed off to me. Even though it is priced very low right now, I still do not recommend getting this game. I don't even know if people still play it - the servers might be empty. There are sites that track how many players are playing certain online games at once. I recommend checking those to see if people are still playing this game before buying it.

Very good game, but has a few problems.
First off i'd like to say that as gaming veteran, this game reaches that standard. However, it's not as fun as it appears to be, or as some of the game-play wants you to believe. The game is mediocre at best, when you compare it to other FPS's such as BF II, BFBC, COD, HALO Franchise, etc etc etc... Now don't get me wrong, the combat style of play can bring hours of fun, but it turns into the same old boring and repetitive style of "Move to the enemy flag, take the flag, move to the enemy base, take the base." combat. Pro's: Sound effects are great, killing animation is very realistic, the online ranking system is perfect, and the background can at some times look real. Con's: Terrible tech support, lags constantly when online (and I have a very expensive and functional conn so I know it's the servers), you can only benefit from this game if you play online, glitches in multiple areas, air combat is lacking in a few key areas, and the list goes on... If you want a classic FPS, and do not intend on ENJOYING yourself online, then this is for YOU. But, if you really want to have a fun online FPS experience, i'd suggest you move to one of the new FPS's that are out, or if you don't want that, stick with something that is mentally challenging and won't kill you stress wise in the process.

A classic worthy of collection.
Game came in excellent condition. Came with its book and serial number at the back. DVD-ROM had no scratches on it. Playing it online through reclamation servers.

Great Game for Battlefield Fans
I demo'd this game a while back, and I really liked it; me being a singleplayer person, however, I was disappointed by the small amount of SP compatible levels (Even with all the updates installed). I accidentally bought the standard edition instead of the deluxe, but that's more of a con on my part. Multiplayer works if you have Game Ranger, but you'd be playing with some experienced players, and I would not recommend playing multiplayer if you're a first-timer or a person who prefers SP (like me). Overall, it's a great game with an original concept that also adds to the already magnificent gameplay/teamplay mechanics that we all know and love from Battlefield 2; It's superior with multiplayer gameplay and content, but lacks in the singleplayer experience.
