Don’t worry about the negative reviews here. Yes, it takes some time to assemble the chairs. Yes, the parts are not labeled, but not difficult to see how they fit together. The packaging was good and protected the wood pieces from damage during shipping. The assembly instructions are easy to read and follow. Take your time and maybe use a power screw driver for the screws and a ratchet set with an hex bit instead of the hex wrench provided. I didn’t use glue on the dowel fit pieces as some recommended here because glue is messy to work with and the dowel fittings are large enough to fit well and if they do loosen over time you can simply tighten the screws at the joints. The finish on the chairs is very good and the hardware provided is fine. Don’t over tighten the bolts or screws or you could maybe split the wood pieces. This was not a problem for me but I could see how someone could do it. When assembled the chairs sat level and perfectly aligned. If not, just loosen the offending bolts or screws and retighten. Be aware the chairs are all wood so the stated weight limit of 220 pounds is likely a realistic limit. Overall I would recommend these chairs because they are a nice looking, good quality, and a good value for the price.

Excellent quality for the price; rock-solid and great looking. Went together easily with only the slightest pause to double-check part orientations and fittings before attaching, which anyone should do anyway*. I ordered 2 sets of 2, so by the 4th stool I could put it together in my sleep. The only very minor glitch (and "glitch" is overstating it) is that one cross support required very minor filing to fit properly, which took about a minute. Bonus is that they matched almost perfectly with the table I bought them for, from a completely different manufacturer and online store. For the price of less than 2 similar stools from higher-priced mfr's, we have a set of 4 that should last for many years.* I'd agree with some others that most of the assembly complaints seem to be due to "user error", rather than mfr error, except missing parts complaints. I actually had a few extra pieces of hardware, as I believe others did as well.Another bonus: this was out of stock everywhere except Amazon; not only did Amazon have the second lowest price (the lower price was less than a dollar lower), but they were delivered 2 days earlier than originally estimated.Very happy with this purchase.

I bought two sets of two for my counter, and it took me 3 hours to build 3 chairs, and I finally got good at it, and built the 4th one in 30 minutes. It’s easy to build if you pay close attention to the instructions. I am only upset because on two of the chairs, one leg is shorter than the other 3 legs. I don’t know where I could have done a better job at making them all completely even. They’re also really hard surfaces to sit on, and I think I am gonna have to buy seat cushions. A big positive is that they’re gorgeous, so I guess that it what matters lol

Poor construction, sturdiness.I use one of these stools in my home office every working day, for a full day, and my wife uses one whenever she works in our home office.I have plenty of experience putting together this type of furniture, so that was not the reason for the problems I had.The stools were difficult to put together out-of-the-box, with poor instructions and inadequate hardware (screws that were too short, no pilot holes).After putting them together, and after a short period of daily use for mine and even with the much less use of my wife's stool, the cross-supports started working loose from the legs, causing the stool to wobble, and creating concerns about possible injuries from collapse.I have had to repair mine by gluing and screwing the cross-supports, using strong wood-glue and longer screws, for which I had to drill pilot holes. UPDATE - Today I had to repair both for the third or fourth type.I weigh about 100 lbs less than the rated capacity for the stools.

I bought 3 sets of the 29" chairs. They look very nice, and, once put together, seem rather sturdy. However, like other reviewers have pointed out, they are NOT easy to assemble. After reading other reviews and using the first chair as trial and error, here is my process:1. Attach seat to back and rather down until the bolts are hand tightened.2. Dry fit the cross pieces and legs. They are not labeled with letters but can really only be assembled one way, and to figure that out, you just need to put them in the holes and test them. The angles really help you figure it out.3. Use wood glue on dowels and assemble one side. Assemble the other side and include the non-angled horizontal cross piece.4. Tighten legs.5. I drilled pilot holes because I was worried screwing into the legs without a pilot hole would crack the legs.6. I also ditched the drywall screws and used 1 1/4" Kreg pocket hole screws (as suggested by one reviewer) and a second pair of hands to apply downward pressure on the leg to ensure tight joints. Drill slowly to not damage or crack the wood. I highly recommend using these screws. In fact, unless it it a square or star head screw, I wouldnt use them. Phillips gets stripped too often, and drywall screws are just terrible.7. In the end, the chairs came out decent, though on some, no matter how much we tried to make it tight, there were some tiny gaps between cross pool piece and leg. Not a big deal though.All in all, about 30 minutes per chair. I will update if there are any issues in the future.

These are absolutely top of the line stools. Fit and the finish are exceptional!! Way better than I was expecting. The wood is a beautiful, and the finish on the wood is perfect, no drips, runs or any cosmetic blemishes. Very sturdy and comfortable! Will definitely buy these again if I need more. Assembly was very easy, just pay close attention to the directions.

These chairs are exactly what I was looking for. They were not too complicated to put together. Of course it always helps if you have good quality tools. But overall they are nice looking and seem sturdy. I purchased 4 for a counter top peninsula in a kitchen w brown maple cabinets and they matched perfectly. There were some very slight blemishes but for the price they are awesome. One piece of advice is when you assemble them, make sure you do it on the carpet because there comes a point where you have to turn them upside down to tighten bolts and I made the mistake of scuffing up the chairs slighty on my tile floor. However I used a dark brown maker to touch up the finish and it was barely noticeable. Very nice purchase for the price, nice simple design, I would purchase these again.!

Great value. Very good quality and sturdy pieces. Kinda a pain to assemble but once you have one down, the rest are much easier! Highly recommend.

I got 3 sets of 2 for my tiki bar and did a lot of research before purchasing them. They were the best deal out there that I could find including Wayfair. Anyway, not too bad to assemble BUT! They sent an incorrect rung for the front of one of them I am just going to have that chair be one that is lightly used. All in all, I would get again.
