Care Instructions (Also included on box): Tarnishing is a naturally occurring process that happens when copper reacts with outside elements, such as oxygen, moisture or human touch. Because these mugs are made of real copper and there is NO LACQUER on the inside of the mugs, they will tarnish without simple proper care. The easiest way to prevent tarnish is to wash the mugs with soap and warm water after use (do not wash in dishwasher) and then immediately towel dry. Avoid leaving liquids in the mugs for extended periods of time. If tarnish does begin to occur, it is very simple to remove. There are a number of copper cleaners available. Alternatively, it can be removed naturally using baking soda and lemon juice or salt and vinegar and scrubbing with a wet cloth.

I did a lot of research
I did a lot of research and these were on the pricier side for a reason. The mugs are heavy and look and feel robust when in use. The handles are sturdy and well constructed. They are indeed 100% copper and are NOT lined with stainless steel or nickel. They are however high maintenance and require special care to keep from tarnishing and developing that ugly patina. But it's not as difficult as it sounds. I actually use lemon and baking soda with a cotton rag to polish them.

The mugs had tarnish scuffs on the outside. I suspect that the mugs have a laquer sprayed on them, and some of the laquer got worn off from shipping, and the under copper layer got tarnished.

So I love how solid this juicer is but the green silicone like handle cover starts to slip off when squeezing citrus. That's the only annoying part about it.

Top of the line mugs
We bought these after looking at a lot of different brands online and are extremely happy with our purchase. They were one of the most expensive we viewed, but worth the price (considering cheaper ones we've seen at restaurants). We've used them daily since receiving them, and they keep beverages very cold. Looking forward to having them as summer approaches!

Received a set of 4 mugs as a gift. Must say it was a much appreciated gift as these mugs are awesome!! 100% copper keeps my drinks extremely cold without creating any condensation on the outside of the mug. I also love the handle as it is big enough to fit my whole hand through it as opposed to only being able to use my fingertips to lift my drink. If you are looking for some Moscow Mule Mugs for yourself or as a gift, I highly recommend these!!
