I’m looking for a drill for gardening. Will this drill handle auger sizes 3 inch up to 7 inch? Wasn’t sure if I need a smaller size drill for a 2 to 3

Yes it will. It's actually made for the larger augers like 7 and 9. I've had no problems using it in my garden to plant larger pots. I'm super glad I bought it.

I drill a lot of doors installing locks/deadbolts. Anyone ever use the drill for this?

There should be no issues in using this drill to drill into doors, especially if using a hole saw. Use sharp drill bits only. For wood, use twist drill bits, spade bits, auger bits, self-feed bits, or hole saws. For metal, use steel twist drill bits or hole saws. For masonry, such as brick, cement, cinder block etc., use carbide-tipped bits. Do not use water.

Does this have an option to be corded incase the battery dies?

No there’s no cord I just keep my old ridgid mixer around - and I have 2 batteries and a fast charger
