I'm leaving this review to make up for some of the more negative ones - it's true that the space is very small to fit two adult shoes in one space. However, it is absolutely PERFECT if you're looking for something to store your kid's shoes. The package came really quickly, the organizer was easy to put together (especially if you're handy with a drill), and it's just the right size for a closet or near a front door. We have ours just to the side of our front door under a window and it's great - the kids come in, put their shoes in a cubby (which they actually like to do) and go on their way. Each cubby fits a pair of shoes, no problem, and I double up some of them given they have so many shoes. You can always find the other shoe! Problem solved! Also, it's just the right material for decals (otherwise, that's a lot of white if you have small kids). I bought these animal alphabet decals on Amazon (RoomMates RMK1440SCS Animal Alphabet Peel & Stick Wall Decals, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003NG2PIS/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_11) and attached them all over the outside (except for the side against the wall, of course). I even snuck a few in the cubbies that peek out when they're empty. They're peel and stick, but not actually stickers, so you can peel them off if you change your mind (or make a mistake). All in all, it been really great to have two shoes together (which you know is key when you have small kids - otherwise one shoe is always missing in action, which often leads to digging out toy boxes and peeking under furniture). The decals add a lot of character and make it look more expensive. Very happy to have it!

For my purposes, this shoe organizer is a home run! I am a middle aged woman who leads a casual lifestyle and works in a casual office setting. What this translates to, is that I don't wear/own 3 inch stilettos or high platform shoes. There are many negative reviews that mention the compartments are too small to hold their shoes. This is true, IF you are wanting to store heels more than 3" high, or if you want to stand pairs side-by-side. If you flip one pair and store them much like they do in a shoebox (toe end to heel end), one pair should easily fit in each cubby. I am not using this for my husband's shoes either. If you are wanting storage for mens shoes, keep in mind that only one shoe (not a pair) will fit in each cubby. The only shoes of my husbands that would fit as a pair, are his slippers/sandals. For me however, this holds 15 pair of size 7.5 shoes perfectly and I couldn't be happier. I purchased two of these - - - one for my casual, every-day shoes. These range from sandals, slip-ons, and even Dansko clogs. The Dansko's are my go-to everyday pair. They are also the tightest fit in one cubby, so I have to admit that more often than not, I don't put these away every day and just leave these sitting in front of the cube for the next day instead. I am using the other organizer for my business/dressy shoes. Because these nicer shoes are less often used and they have leather or patent leather finishes that I don't want scuffed, I put one side in a shoe bag before storing the pair in one cubby. One side is bagged so the pair isn't rubbing against each other, but one side is still visible so I can see which pair it is. Side note, I am standing this vertically in my closet (so it's 19"wide and 24"high). If doing this, take note that although there are no "feet" on this unit that prohibits changing the orientation, two of the thin edges of the 19" sides are unfinished. When standing in a vertical position, these two unfinished edges are visible. In my situation, in a closet, butted up against another shelving unit, these edges are hidden. If you are thinking of using this vertically, in an open area where it would be seen from both sides, take this into consideration. Assembly was a cinch too - - one person, phillips screwdriver, small hammer, 15 minutes from opening box to completion.

The spaces are very small. Definitely wish I had ordered two. It only fits one shoe per opening

I’m so in love with this shoe storage bin, it was easy to put together the quality is amazing, I used 3 to store for the height in my small closet, an I was able to store more shoes than it said cuz I have a lot of flats, so I could stack 3 pairs on top of each other at a time, highly recommended to u to purchase

Nice and compact, often with the kids shoes you can put more than 1 pair in one slot. Bigger size shoes will stick out and I would say the slots are suitable for probably upto size 7 shoes. For mens trainers etc you have to use one slot for one trainer. With flip flops you can use one slot for about 2 pairs.

Super easy assembly. Make sure you line that cardboard up really nicely in the back before you nail it down. I don't think this is suitable for large man shoes but I think it is great for women and children. The cubbys will fit a pair of cons or a pair of running shoes. A pair of low hikers. Two pairs of flip-flops flops. I've it!

The shelves are easy to assemble and practical for flip flop storage. However, they are very tight for mens shoes, and have to be squashed a little to make them fit in the cubicles. When the boards arrived, they were damaged on the sides of the boards, due to packing and in shipping.
