How to bake like the British Baking show...
Ever watch the Great British Baking Show, with its great judges, very game competitors, and often marvelous food, and wish you could cook like that? Here's your chance. This baking cook book offers 100 recipes from the show, for everything from cakes to biscuits to breads to pastry to pudding. The recipes are straightforward, and the book is lavishly illustrated. There is an explanation of terms and tools upfront. Warning: The recipes use metric measures; be prepared to convert. Well recommended.

I Love to Read Cookbooks
I love to read cookbooks. This doesn't always mean I love to bake or cook. This cookbook, "The Great British Bake Off: Everyday," has been a real fun read for me. It had some interesting desserts my Grandmother would make when I was a child. Wonderful memories of her kitchen. I enjoyed and continue to enjoy browsing through this book and the pictures are great. As far as using the recipe's, it is a little more of a challenge as the metric system is used for measurements. I will work this out and add to my review as I try out the recipes.

switch the measurement to metric (mine had a button on the bottom that easily did that)
Just what I was looking for. A book with all the technical challenges from season two, and various recipes from some of the bakers. I've made quite a few recipes from the book. Don't get discouraged that the ingredients are measured differently than we do here in the states. Just get yourself a digital scale ($10 and up), switch the measurement to metric (mine had a button on the bottom that easily did that), and measure til your heart is content. There are a lot of extra recipes that weren't on the show and that aren't from Paul and Mary, but they are still good.

Ounces to Grams
I was looking for something challenging and this was it. Learning about baking by using weights instead of measuring cups was fun. I you are looking for learning good basic recipies this book is for you. Have fun.

Not exactly what I thought it'd be
I thought this book would be BY Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood but it isn't. Guess I didn't read closely enough. The recipes are interesting and some are simple enough for me to try. Book was in the condition the seller advertised and the book came in good time.

Recipes in metric
Pretty good however since it's out of the U.K the receipts are in the metric system. Really wish they would do a cookbook on their Master Class.

Perfect collection
I do a lot of baking and tend to be sceptical about TV spin-off books. However I borrowed this from the library to check it out and was so impressed I bought my own copy. There is a good variety of recipes which, if you bake regularly, you can experiment with to suit your own flavour choices and ideas. But the recipes are sound and come out the way they are supposed to. Also, Linda Collister often goes to the trouble of explaining why things are done or ingredients are used, so there is a small degree of teaching included enough for the home baker to enjoy. Photographs are good and there are plenty of them, but I agree with other contributors that it would be nice to have all recipes photographed, even if only small. Paul and Mary are really only the hosts of this book but that doesn't spoil it. This and Paul Hollywood's "How To Bake" are my favourite baking books at the moment...and I have collected quite a few over the years!
