I love that the clay from the minute I opened the box, was so malleable. I peeled off two layers to condition it, and I put some through my pasta maker. The clay pretty much all smoothed together and conditioning it was a pleasure, unlike many other clays who crumble and you need a long time to get it workable. I started working with Sculpey in the 80’s and I have most of it still left over. I got it working but it was so old, it took hours. So when I opened the package of clay, it was immediately apparent to my hands that it was fresh-I saw that even the 4 layers of the brick was bending already!!!!! What a joyful experience!!! I had to stop after the first roll through to take a picture of this happy artistic moment and share my amazing discovery of Sculpey Original. I bought the 1.75 lb. box, hoping it would be a good purchase and what I needed. It passed all my expectations and more. I can’t wait to try my order of Sculpey Firm, and the three blocks of Sculpey Living Doll I received. Sculpey is not cheap, but the price I think is fair. Some other clays are 2-3 times the price, and I think they are trying to price themselves into a “professional” clay for sculpture artists. Hey, my round clay balls and rods are just as professional and exactly like some of those crazy costing clays. I would like to try some Medium Firm, and maybe some colors-the Sculpey line of clay products is awe inspiring. Thank you Sculpey.com

Awesome clay, highly recommend sculpey brand. The bulk white made it easier to make a variety of projects without worrying about individual colors. Easy to paint on and sand. Will buy again

Great for beginners to use without worrying about wasting more expensive and higher quality materials.That being said, this stuff is still very good quality. It's smooth, and easy to work with. I do advise either working in a cool room, or on top of a ceramic surface to help the clay stay cool. As your hands warm it, it becomes much softer and potentially harder to work with, depending on what you're doing. Of course, this could also be a benefit if you're looking for a softer clay :)A couple quick notes:1.) I bake my pieces at 230°F for an hour instead of at 275­°F like the box says. I find that baking at a lower temperature for a longer period, offers a harder end result once completely cooled.2.) Any thin pieces will be a bit flexible. Things like bracelet cuffs or rings or anything else thin should probably use some internal support. Perhaps wire. This isn't a problem of the product so much as it's just a limitation of the material. Other brands are a bit more sturdy, but overall thin pieces will all have this side effect.

I bought this fun stuff to make Christmas ornaments with my kids fingerprints in the center (to make a heart). They came out so nicely! And my 5 year old helped me from beginning to end... he loved it! He even took out some of his play dough cutouts and made his own. At first the putty is a little hard but after kneading it for about 1-2minutes it became very easy to work with. The more you play with it the easier and more plyable it becomes. In the pictures above I also used letter stampers, gold glitter paint and finished out projects with a clear coat only bc I wanted a more finished looking project with shine. You do not need the clear coat. It looks great either way. I totally recommend this product even with kids! I was even able to get my 1 year olds fingerprints on the clay as well... not hard at all.

This is a very sticky, gooey, clay that is good for sculpting. However; it does stick to your hands and I would recommend that you stick it in the freezer to add finer detail because it removes the stickiness from the Clay. This, I found, makes it easier to use tools on since it doesn't stick to the tools once it is frozen, (or your hands, but do not work it too long with your hands). I would recommend that you not bake it any longer than 20 minutes total time since others have said it burns. I bake any size piece for 15-20 minutes on 275 degree Fahrenheit and never had a project come out "raw". If you are looking for a material that you can mold fairly easily with your hands I would recommend you buy Kato Polymer Clay, which is harder to work but easier to use with your hands. Once you warm it, it works pretty well. I gave it four stars only because of the stickiness, but I give it five stars for being easier to sculpt.

Update: -works well to make stamps and sprigs-works better if you bake the ceramics on a oven safe form. I put cornstarch on the bowl so it would not stick.-I tried waiting 1 day before baking to see what would happen and it cracked when it baked.I did ceramics in college a few years ago with college and grad classes for fun, not my major. I haven't since because it was too expensive to fire the pots for each firing. I also had experience helping with the loading and firing. I decided to give this a try because I missed it. I played around with it for about 30 minutes tonight and enjoyed it. I have to admit it is different then the clay I am used to. I find it more forgiving. It also seems harder (less soft). I did not have any issues with cracking or coming apart, but I did use the glue like "bond" stuff and scored it anywhere I connected clay. I used all the tools I would normally use for clay that you fire. It was less messy and easier to clean up then I'm used to.My only concern is I wasn't sure when it was done. My oven usually cooks in about half the time of recipes, so I took it out after 8 minutes but I am not sure if it is done. Not sure how to check if it is done besides seeing if it will bend which could hurt it if it is not dry. I also didn't know how long I could or should wait after I built it to bake it.I used about 1/8 of the clay making my little ring dish and ornament.The hair didn't bake out of it like I am used to so there are little cat hairs in it.If you are trying to make a bowl, I would bake it inside of a bowl so it keeps it shape. I didn't because the bowl was not oven safe and it flattened out to more like a plate.I plan on using it to make some stamps and sprigs but I have not yet.Will definitely use this again for fun.

This clay is so perfect for everything I wanted it for. I've made beads, I've made little figurines.. I can sculpt with it, I can paint it, its very durable. I've used it for beads on earrings. I put the beads (no foil) on a safety pin to form a hole. If you form it around a small ball of foil it wouldn't be too heavy for your ears. It's easy to blend cracks, play with it for a minute, let it sit for a few minutes, it makes it even easier to use. Baking is simple. It doesn't dry out so you can leave it sitting in your craft room for days and days until your next day off from work. Lol it's great and it's versatile, and I just love it.

So obviously I have yet to use this Clay, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. I made sure to add pictures (side note, the tear in the box was from me vigorously opening! Did not come that way 🤙) The first picture is just the box it comes in with all the details and instructions on the back. I also added a picture of the clay with a basic TV remote beside it to show just how much clay comes in this package. I was shocked, didn’t think there would be enough but there’s an ample amount. I will be sure to post an update when I finish my little figurine I’m creating for a family member’s birthday. I’m also going to do a little experiment since I have enough Clay, I’m going to paint a piece with acrylic paint and then bake it, As well as baking a piece and then painting it with acrylic paint after just to see the difference I’ll be sure to post that as well.

This is great stuff, I’ve never used it before but it was soft and easy to sculpt. I did put it in the oven to harden, I forgot and it went slightly crispy but it was still fine and I just acrylic painted on top.

Super Sculpey me sigue pareciendo la mejor marca de arcilla polimérica sin meternos ya en las gamas súper profesionales. Esta en concreto se moldea muy bien: con solo amasarla un poco ya empieza a coger la textura adecuada para trabajar sin que se agriete ni se resista.Yo la uso sobre todo para modelar caras pequeñas, con rasgos definidos y detallados, y responde bastante bien. Permite trabajar con precisión sin deshacerse ni emborronar el detalle.Si soy sincera, sigo prefiriendo la que tiene el color rosado de esta misma marca (me resulta más cómoda y visualmente me gusta más mientras estoy modelando) pero esta cumple perfectamente su función y la volvería a usar sin problema

Der Überschrift ist eigentlich nichts weiter hinzuzufügen. Sculpey ist und bleibt eines der Top-Produkte auf dem Markt, egal ob für Gelegenheitskneter oder passionierte Sculpturenerschaffer. Mit etwas Übung lassen sich ohne Weiteres detailreiche Objekte formen, Beweisvideos hierzu gibt es auf YT zu Hauf. Ich nutze das Produkt um im Modellbau etwas flexibler zu sein. Sei es zur Modellierung von Bäumen oder Figuren. Grundsätzlich ist der Fantasie natürlich keine Grenze gesetzt. Alles was man sich vorstellen kann kann man mit Sculpey auch modellieren. Wenn man es denn kann ;) Das produkt bleibt auch an der Luft sehr lange formbar, eine finale Aushärtung findet erst im Ofen statt. Das ausgehärtete Produkt lässt sich anschließend gut weiter bearbeiten. Egal ob schleifen, meißeln oder bemalen. Alles ist machbar.Ich kann das Produkt nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Al inicio tenía mis dudas sobre todo por el precio, pero al final el producto final que pude obtener fue lo que me convenció la verdad este producto es muy bueno y resistente a comparación de otros que he usado. Al inicio la masa esta un tanto dura y quebradiza pero es cuestión de amasarla bien para suavizarla. Aunque si es un tanto cara, si uno se dedica a vender sus creaciones es fácil recuperar lo invertido. Definitivamente la volvere a comprar una y otra vez.
