The only solution that works
I used the Type A repair tape to repair a bi-cast leather sofa that had a couple of tears in the seat cushion. So far it has been over two weeks and this tape has performed well with kids who sometimes step or jump on the seat cushion. Previously I had tried leather/vinyl repair kits with the liquid vinyl that you set with heat--those were terrible and never lasted more than a few days, plus they were very annoying to apply. This repair tape is awesome, and simple to apply. The adhesive is very strong, so I am not worried about the tape coming up at the corners or sides. If you visit the manufacturer's website, you will learn that the Type B repair tape is for vinyl only (because vinyl specifically contains oils that require a different adhesive), and the Type A repair tape is for everything else from fabrics to leathers, plastics, polyurethane, etc. Bi-cast leather has a polyurethane coating, so you want the Type A repair tape. The tape itself is clear with a matte finish, so depending on the surface, it is relatively "invisible". The adhesive is so strong that it can be difficult to separate the tape from the wax paper backing without marring the tape. After applying a couple of patches you develop a technique for applying the tape smoothly and neatly. I only regret that I did not buy this tape sooner and save myself the hassle from all of my previous failed repair attempts.

Great so far
I bought this tape as well as the sister product "B" to repair a rip in a pop up tent. The rip was about a foot long and right at the seam where the fabric, screen and vinyl window all came together right by the door. Now, one of these tapes is for vinyl and the other is for everything else so the problem was how to make them work in this situation. I managed to do it by overlapping the tape that works on everything else onto the tape that works on vinyl. As I'm writing this, I don't know which is which. What I do know is it has held and repaired a foot long tear. Because the tape is clear, it is not as ugly as it could be. It's not invisible, but it does the job in a apot that I thought would be impossible to fix. I'm very, very pleased with this product. Because it stretches once it is applied, it is holding and I believe it will hold for some time to come.

Worked on our canvas pergola
PROS: + Extraordinarily strong bond + Repair holding up despite wind and weather CONS: - Pricey stuff @$0.50 per inch - I didn't use the included alcohol wipes. 2 wipes for 5' seemed inadequate. I used 99% Isopropyl and a clean cloth instead. TIP: A 2nd set of hands is helpful. One to secure the fabric, one to apply and smooth out the patching tape.

Great for leather and fabric chairs
My dog has done a number on the leather chair we allow him to get onto. He tore a huge hole right in the seam. We used this to repair it over 2 months ago and it has held up just fine. The sticker is not pulling up any where even with my huge dog pulling at the chair. A little while after we repaired the leather chair he jumped on our fabric ottoman in another room and ripped a hole. This has worked great for that as well. It is a little more noticable on the fabric, but better than leaving a gaping hole in our ottoman. The tear-aid will work well for repairing so many different things. It is flexible, yet strong. I am glad I purchased the bigger roll because I am sure it will come in handy for repairing many things.

Really Works
I'm really impressed with this stuff, better than T-Rex tape, Gorilla Tape or other repair stuff I've tried and I've tried a lot. I first used it on a hunting blind where I was in a hurry and tore a hole in the fabric setting it up. It of course was a jagged irregular shape complicating the repair but this not only did the job but has held up for several seasons. On a hub style hunting blind there is pressure on it constantly when set up and it's out for the entire hunting season unlike most tents that have little pressure on them and only used for a few days at a time which it also works great on, I've fixed two of them. I also used it on a vinyl camper tent with good success as well. I bought more & keep with my camping and hunting gear as a necessary piece of on the spot repair equipment.

The only product to repair kite and wing innertubes.
The best product to repair kitesurf innertubes. Sticks amazingly well and helped repair our kites in our kite school many times. I bought a knock off on a Chinese platform which was garbage and couldn't be used. The original isn't cheap but well worth the cost.

Tape fixed my Old block out backing for our Drapes
Tape worked good and stuck very well and repaired the backing of my deuterating drapes...at least temporarily. Which is what I bought this product for. Until I am able to totally replace them in the fall. My only wish is that I would have bought more as only so many feet where provided in my order. The white tape I bought did not provide a total sun block the way my old drape backing as designed for. But by tripling up on the tape cover (the tape stuck very well to all the layers of tape I applied) I received the sun blackout feature I was looking for, so from the front of the drapes, the tears I repaired did not show sunlight peering through. I wish they made a total sun blackout tape but I have not found it yet. I would definitely buy and recommend this product for what I purchased it for. C Novak...

Not good for bounce house repair
I bought this after reading several other reviews about it working for bounce house water slide repairs. The area that was being repaired was on a seam. We sewed the seam back together and then put this on top of it to keep the stitching in place. After the kids hit the patch twice it was already lifting. I rounded the corners as recommended but that didn't matter. I don't know if the other type B patch would have worked better? The slide is not made of vinyl though. I would say that even when you put it on dry it was questionable as to whether or not it was going to stick, so I wouldn't use it on a dry bounce house either? It was fairly expensive for the amount that came on the roll as well. I ended up ordering another box in hopes of reinforcing the patch, but after 5 or 10 more times down the slide realized it was hopeless. I tried cancelling the second order less than an hour after making it and was unable to do so through Amazon. It's very sticky stuff and if you barely touch it it will leave fingerprints or even fingernail prints on the patch. I ended up using Flex Seal instead. Other than the above it is what was advertised.

Excellent and very sticky
Tear aid material kit A is an excellent product, it’s extremely sticky so don’t let it touch anything other than what you want to stick it too.

Tear Aid
J'ai acheté différents types de produits de réparation et aucun n'a donné les résultats voulu.....sauf Tear Aid. Ce produit est vraiment d'une qualité supérieur. Je le recommande et va surement en acheter encore.
