Kask CPSC Infinity Bike Helmet

I've never written a review before, but this helmet saved my life yesterday.I was doing 25-30 mph downhill on aero bars when I lost control and pulled the front wheel brake sending me in full momentum over the handlebars. I landed directly onto my head and tumble/slid across the road and into the guard rail finally ending up in a ditch. Although it sounds bad, the injuries sustained from this where nothing compared to what they could have been, thanks to luck, age, fitness, and also this helmet.I can't promise it'll save your life but it might have saved mine. I've owned a lot of helmets over 40+ years and the quality of construction and fit is absolutely perfect for me. I originally bought one on sale during Performance Bike's liquidation a couple of years ago. I wanted to try Kask out and the aero feature of the helmet was a bonus. I can't entirely state that the aero feature actually works - I ride at a reasonable tempo of 28-34 kmph but I'm very aware that a lot of aero claims really don't apply unless travelling at >40 kmph.I can attest to its build quality and safety features. About 15 months ago I had a hard crash at speed (~ 30 kmph) that resulted in a triple fracture to my collar bone and lots of abrasion. I developed a minor headache after the adrenaline released by the crash wore off bought didn't really think too much about it. Taking stock of the bike and equipment a few days later I noticed that the right side of the helmet was distressed, obviously from where my head hit the gravel. I can honestly say that the helmet did its job and protected my skull. This helmet is a replacement and, based on my experience, I'm a Kask customer for life.

I have an absolutely massive head, so big I had worries even a large wouldn’t fit. It fits. There’s a lot of details about this helmet that scream high quality, from the straps to the padding. Only gripe is the “Kask” logo on the helmet is kind of a cheap vinyl sticker. It will peel off. Could be a good thing if you prefer that too!

Great helmet, a touch warm on hot days but not as bad as some of the other aero helmet designs. Hotter with the vent closed if you ride slow, but if the vent is closed you should be hauling butt so you do get enough airflow to keep things cool.

I know helmets are supposed to protect one's head; this one did the trick and then some. Wore the helmet this past weekend, crashed very heavily and landed on head and shoulder. Outer shell of helmet was dented/crumpled, inner foam appears perfect; my head? No damage; NOTHING! I realize helmet technology has progressed, and this helmet exemplifies the advances. Oh yeah - the styling is cool and i like the center venting feature. Overall, great buy..

The helmet is fine, but it runs very small compared to all the other helmets I have used.
