Double Hot Plates with Handles

I thought of giving this, like, two stars, because cooking on this hot plate reminded me that I'd been kicked out of my house was living in a place with no kitchen and having to cook on a hot plate, but it wasn't really the hot plate's fault. It works fine. The burners were a little small for my giant cast iron pan, but that wasn't the hot plate's fault, either. I tried to do it so that I had the pan spanning both burners, but that didn't really work either. It's a bit difficult to clean. Especially if you don't really clean it for a couple months and then try to clean it. Just don't leave it on when you leave the house. You will not be able to blame the hot plate if your house burns down.

This is my first review I am writing because OMG best purchase I have made so far on Amazon! I’m not EVEN KIDDING you when I say that this product works marvelously for me. I live in a studio with NO KITCHEN. I was hesitant @ first to buy because some of the reviews but Im so glad I did. It heats up really fast , you can use both @ the same time, & it cooks your food fast! I have made breakfast and dinner including pastas, eggs, soups, and I even cooked a big juicy steak! It really does the job if you don’t have a kitchen to make yourself a nice home hooked meal. BEWARE tho: after unplugging the hot plate, it remains very hot for a good 10-20 minutes so just be careful to not store it right away or accidentally touch it. I’ve had it for about 1 month now and no problems so I will be back to update if anything changes but I’m really crossing my fingers it remains doing it’s job :) UPDATE JULY 17, 2021 Y’all, the hot plates are still up and cooking everything I need :)

Nice unit, I like the burner heat spread. And I actually boiled water on the small burner while using the larger one. If I have any suggestions it would be to extend the distance between burners by at least 2" to accommodate more pots and pans. But yes I am pleased with this unit and would buy it again.

Stays hot for a while after you shut it down. Great convenience, a fair price, packaged good, looks pretty & works well. Doesn't break down like the cheaper ones do.

It takes along time to heat up, especially something like oil, though once heated works pretty well. I use it in my outdoor kitchen and used both burners the other day when I didn’t need to boil for very long and both worked well.

I bought a second one of these hotplates for use in dyeing yarn (the dye must be heat set). They are durable and have held up great. Another plus is the location of the control knobs. They are down far enough that you can place a large pot on the cooktop and the knobs are not in the way as they are on some other small cooktops.
