2 problems fixed with this
Blower was only working on high, engine would also slowly over heat with a/c on. Diagnosis showed electric fan not turning on. After test multiple possibilities i found no other problems.Put the new resistor in and now my blower works on all stages and my electric fan turns on like it should now with a/c on. 01 dodge dakota. Worth the money and great quality. Looks and feels like oem

Worked perfectly
This fit my 2006 Durango SLT, dual air, no climate control, exactly. The fan worked only on the two highest settings, so I knew instantly the problem was the resistor pack. I could see no difference between the Dorman pack and the original. The original plug/harness was intact, so there was no need to use the Dorman supplied plug/harness.Removal and installation is about 15 minutes. Under the glove box, remove the 2 screws and resistor pack cover, then remove the 2 screws holding the resistor pack and remove the resistor pack. Push the slide/snap on the plug to get the original resistor pack off the plug. Install the new resistor pack with its two screws, and then slide the plug on and reinstall the cover. You might want to sit on a cushion or small bucket or stool outside the passenger door to do this. Simple job, just a little back twisting required.

great replacement part
good fit for my 2003 durango. i wish the wires were different colors, but it works as advertised. if your old one blew, you need to find the cause before you replace it, because if your blower motor itself is fried, this blower motor resistor will not help. the most common cause of a blown resistor is a seized or shorted blower motor. i like the fact it comes with the wiring harness aswell, because when the resistor blows, its because of an overheat. that normaly melts the harness too.

Excellent quality replacement item for automotive DIY HVAC repair
I've had a recurring problem with my 01 Dodge Dakota blowing resistor cards, I thought it was a design fault. Then I was informed that the blower motor could be drawing too much current. I replaced my aging motor with a new motor I purchased at the same time from Amazon and before I ordered it I noticed that the connector that plugs into the resistor card was damaged and I decided to replace the plug along with the resistor card. This Dorman item, # 973-426, was an exact replacement, and was an excellent high-quality made item. It even included five electrical butt connectors to make splicing in this new plug & wiring harness a snap. Installation was straight-forward and even with taking my time it was only a 30 minute task. I am thrilled at the results! It worked perfectly in conjunction with my new motor and it worked 100% correctly from the start. As a bonus, this plug & harness AND resistor card only cost $10.26. If you buy the resistor card alone at a local AutoZone or O'Reilly's you pay over $12. I am extremely well-pleased with this product and give it 5 stars and a hearty recommendation.

Garbage
Faulty resister right out of the box!! Hooked it all up cuz the old one was loose and would cut in and out now it doesn’t work at all! Would have been better off leaving it at least it sometimes worked before…DO NOT BUY!!!!

Worked great for my 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4
Worked great for my 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4.7 L. My Inside blower fan was only working on the high 3 and 4 settings, got nothing on the first 2 lower settings. After installing this fan blower resistor, the fan worked on all 4 settings. Easy to install. It's located just under the glove box on the passenger side. Just remove the 2 - 8mm screws that hold on a little black cover, remove it to get to the electrical harness that connects to the blower fan resistor. Just slide the red locking mechanism on the electrical harness towards the passenger side to unlock it. Then depress the tab that is on the top side of harness and slide it off. This comes with a replacement electrical harness, which is nice so you can see where the lock n tab are located on the harness. Then remove the 2 -8 mm screws that hold the blower fan resistor in place. Slide the burned out resistor out n replace w new one and reinstall the 2 screws. Then slide on electrical harness until it clicks into place and lock the red tab by sliding it towards the driver's side. Reinstall black cover w the 2 screws. Done, 5 min job! This may not work if you have electronic temperature control. I just have the sliding temperature control knob that goes from red to blue. Hope this helps!
