Bob Books: Sight Words, 1st Grade

All these different series are great from the Bob books. They have helped my child learn to read so well. Every book increases just slightly with difficulty so it accommodates for them learning more and more. The stories are cute and easy to understand. The words in the book are easy to sound out. I will continue to buy from all of these series has my child expands their reading. This specific box was not on the pictures from the other ones that we have that are a little older. It's a newer set they made and it's definitely worth the money!

Absolutely love these books. My daughter reads them to us every night. I feel like it has helped with her confidence in reading a lot.

These books were recommended to me by an elementary school teacher. My daughter loved them and was eager to read them all. They are short and kept her attention. She felt proud to be able to read the complete book. They come in a pack of 10!

These cards are a wonderful way to cement sight words into your child's memory. Before I have my little one read one of the books we discuss the sight words in the story and, IF the sight words can be decoded phonetically,I have my child practice that a few times. Then I have her read the stories, lastly we go through the flash cards by flashing the sight words and then reading the sentence on the back. I love that the sight words are all context based. It really helps kids remember and understand sight words in a fun way instead of boring rote memorization. Consistency is key. Do it everyday until mastered. Read 2-3 of the books and go through the flash cards. Then move up to the next level

These books are great for new readers. Short and not too difficult, while still giving them a challenge.

FINALLY a book set my 6 year old can read with little help! Which makes her SO much more confident picking a book!

Perfect for grade 1

We love the BOB Books. My granddaughter is challenged by then but always gets a real sense of satisfaction from reading them. I think because they are short and she can say how many she has read. And they are fun and funny!
