There is no need to reverse the clip. All you need to do is flip the knife over for right or left hand use. It fits both ways

Can this be carried owb and iwb?

Yes. I carry mine in my waistband. It's a slim design so most of the time I forget I'm wearing it and it isn't noticeable.

What's the difference between this knife and the ostensibly same knife on SOG's site sold for about $45?

They are the same. Blade company websites always have their prices much higher. I own a SOG Spec Elite 2 that i paid $120.00 for, whereas on SOG's site its $200.00.
