Dental Hygienist
As a dental Hygienist I highly recommend this product and have seen some amazing reductions in patient's bleeding gums (bleeding=disease/infection). It is great for people with periodontal disease and gingivitis (over 90% of us have some-even professionals), as well as people who have large hands and people who have braces. I have even sold the product out of several offices because I love it so much. Here are some things to note. 1) It will take a little bit to get used to. I warn my patient's that they may get water in their eyes the first few times. The resevoir is smaller and will need to be refilled. 2) It is very convenient. When you see this in your shower you are more likely to use it daily and make it a habit. You may have to recharge it every week or so when it runs down. Also, before you use it the first time fully charge it overnight. 3) You should keep the unit away from the running water when not in use. I have had two units and never had one corrode. You need to make sure the flap where you charge it is closed fully. Just use common sense...turn the charging portal away from the water when you refill, etc. I refill right in my shower. 4) The first one I had lasted a year and a half. These things do not last forever, but for the price they are so worth it. Most people pay more for coffee a month. Is your health worth that? Also Waterpik invented the machines and are very good about replacing any defective item. Every once in awhile you get a dud battery, I don't care what kind of product it is. Call them and they will replace it. For all of you who don't know it.....we have a saying in dentistry that you only have to floss the ones you want to keep. Brushing alone will not cut it. If you do not clean under your gums you will have infection (bleeding) and bone loss around your teeth. The infection gets worse and deeper and will travel into your bloodstream. If the infection gets into your bloodstream it effects your whole body. If you have deeper pockets (probing depths) that measure 4 and above, even if you are flossing you may not be cleaning to the base of the pocket where the really nasty bacteria is hiding out. This will get where your floss will not. It does not replace floss and I tell my patient's to use them together. If you don't know what your readings are ask your Dental Hygienist. They should be checking your pockets every visit and recording them once a year. You should see your hygienist 2-4 times a year. Periodontal disease has been linked to Heart disease, Stroke, Diabetes, Alzheimer's, Pre-term low birthweight babies, Prostate Cancer....the list goes on. If your body is constantly fighting an infection in your mouth your immune system cannot do it's job if you get a cold, a cut....you name it. I am getting off my soap box. I love this product. I was skeptical at first but got deperate with a few hopeless patient's and saw amazing results...and started using it myself. Also, it will not remove hard deposits if you haven't been cleaned recently, you have to have a clean mouth to begin with. It is like anything else....you have to use it daily to see results. I use it (even before I got braces). I have my parent's using one because I believe in the product. My dad has the big countertop model and loves it...though it costs more. I have been using my second unit for over a year now. I buy them for my friends and they love them. I would not spend money on them if they didn't work. Good luck and good health! Hope this info helped some people.

Great dental care tool
I received this Waterpik as a gift several years ago for Christmas on purpose. I was starting to get really into my dental care and proper care for my teeth. My grandma actually purchased it for me because she had one herself and loved it. I used it for several years and recently it started to not work as well. It wasn't sure if it just needed to be charged and I was impatient or if maybe it had lived its life and was done. So I passed my 1st Waterpik onto my daughter after cleaning it up. I was going to buy us both new ones but she wasn't sure she was going to use it so I thought she could try the old one out 1st to see and I ordered a new one from Amazon for myself. It's a great product it works as advertised. You plug it in to charge. You can use it in the shower it does not have to be plugged in you can take it while you travel. It does not have replaceable batteries you want it to work you have to charge it up. I generally fill the Waterpik with warm water and followed the instructions on the manual. I have used full strength mouthwash like Listerine and diluted mouthwash in it with great results. However if you have sensitive teeth (like i do) room temperature mouthwash can feel really cold in your mouth so I do not advise that, dilute it with hot water. I always empty the reservoir when I'm finished even if it's just water and I always rinse it when I have used a mouthwash product. I have not had any problems with it getting gross in the water chamber, no funky odors, no bad taste. This Waterpik comes with 2 different speeds for the actual pic if your gums are too sensitive use the one that's not as pressurized. I think there might be other heads you can use I have never looked for any or needed any. This could be shared with members of the house, a husband and wife duo all with their own Waterpik heads that are easily removed. Product includes the charging cord, the Waterpik and 2 Waterpik heads.

Much lower pressure than plug in version
I prefer the 120 volt tank model. I have a couple of these and don’t even travel with them anymore. Pressure is too low for me, but they are an okay choice if you want battery power.

Makes me want to care to floss every night with this! Can't go back!!
I love using this! I have used this well over a year already and it stands as a great water flosser. My teeth feel SO CLEAN and even in between. It is something that you have to try it out to experience the feeling and you might not go back.😁It has a bit of weight to it, but it isn't a hassle to use at all. There are two pressure tips, but I just use the regular blue one and the white one has a bit too much pressure on it to feel comfortable imo. The noise level is a bit loud but have sense because it has a motor on it from it needing batteries. Overall, this is a game changer for me 10/10 I have gotten so much gunk out between the far back parts of my teeth which are the hard to reach areas to clean. even in most areas of my teeth, it was able to take away hard to remove food buildup. This is a must have in your dental care hygiene routine. 🪥 It's a staple for me. For me I have a hard time using regular flossing, even with the picks - so I opt to get this instead.

Waste of Money and Time
I have been a Waterpik customer for at least 30 years... I bought this unit with the intent of using it when I travel. Upon receipt, I followed the directions to a T and allowed the flosser to charge overnight before even turning it on. A few days later, I went on vacation and kept the unit charged after use. After a mere THREE DAYS OF USE, the flosser would not hold a charge and would barely spit out any water. Upon returning home, I called the toll free number provided by Waterpik and spoke with a customer service representative. Elisha was polite and advised that she needed the serial number to proceed. So, the following day, I brought the flosser to work with me and left the water reservoir and pick at home. I then called back and spoke with Constance. She never asked for the serial number and asked me to turn the unit on- which I did. She then asked me to operate it WITH WATER in it...an absolutely ridiculous request to make of someone calling from work...just so that she could "diagnose" the problem. In sum, I would need to make a THIRD call to Waterpik's customer service line. The third call isn't happening. I don't have time for shenanigans. I want things that a purchase to work. I wouldn't be wasting my time calling Waterpik if I didn't need to. I am returning the unit to Amazon and Waterpik just lost a customer forever.

poor, incomplete instructions, design leaves something to be desired
Update to this review: #1 the battery power is it slower and weaker than leaving it in the charger while using it. that shouldn't be if it is a good decent battery. #2 after using for a few months this one pumps about half the strength on the cord that it did in the beginning. #3 The reservoir door, though it has a ruber seal, doesn't seal water in. The result of this lack of a decent seal and shutting mechanism is that I loaded it with water to take with me and use cordless once and of course ALL TH#E WATER LEAKED OUT. #4 all the water comes out ONLY in a perfect upright position likely because the siphon is just a cut end of a hose instead of an engineered pickup system. as far as I know, Water Pik is the inventor of this and as such, i would think that it is in the company's best interest to set the standard wqith the best designs, like Leatherman and the Multi Tool does, , but that does not appear to be so. The cons: The "instructions" like most instructions these days consist mostly of a bunch of legal disclaimers and little else that is helpful. Missing from the instructions, I feel, is that it does not tell you how to install the tip nor how to remove it and I got one installed easy enough but don't know how to take it back of and can't figure it out. In fact the instructions suck so bad that i disgustedly threw them away. Also there is scant information about what kind of liquids can be used in it. common sense tells me to run only distilled water in it. but the instructions go on about how to clean hard water deposits out of it and not to put any particulate matter with water in the reservoir as that will damage it. But it NEVER gives ANY examples of what that could be AND it doesn't even say anything about the best practice of using only distilled water. I wanted to know if I could use it with distilled water with salt dissolved in it or a mouthwash product and it doesn't say. The pro: after using it a few days it seems to clean my teeth gums and help them heal. other than that I have nothing to say that is good about it. The cons: it runs out of water very quickly and always stops pumping water when it is near empty and then when you remove it shoots a big healthy stream in your face or on the wall and then it's really empty. To do all my teeth and gums , it takes at least three refills Counterintuitive on/off buttons: It is a two button on off scheme which is clumsy and you have to remember to turn it on in your mouth and move your finger to the off button to get ready to turn it off. the first few times I always tried to repress the on button that I still had my finger on to turn it off and of course it didn't go off and squirted water all over. I feel that a single "hold on/release off" power button would be much more user friendly or perhaps a an on/off rocker switch.

and my dentist is pleased with that
I bought this in 2012 and have been using it regularly ever since. It still works well and holds a charge for at least a week. I find that my gums don't bleed nearly as much since I have been using it, and my dentist is pleased with that. I use it after brushing, and it is amazing how many little bits of food it flushes out, even after a good brushing. I have two bridges, where one false tooth is permanently attached to the teeth on either side of the false one. That leaves a space between the gum and the false tooth, which is hard to clean out. The Waterpik gets out anything stuck in that gap. I will admit that water drips down my arm when I use it, but I use it as I am getting ready for bed, so the dripping doesn't bother me. Some people seem to think it doesn't hold enough water, but I find it plenty to go all around in my mouth, and I'm not looking to spend forever cleaning my teeth. Altogether a great tool, and durable also. I even dropped it once. The tip broke, which I replaced on Amazon of course, but the handle wasn't damaged at all.

Disappointed
I bought it from Amazon UK. I would expect it to come with a UK electrical plug. It did not. I could have brought the one from the USA if I had known. Doesn't mention it in the details.

Mom loves it!
Bought for my Mom a few years ago. It eventually wore out- she needed a new one- but only wanted the same one she had before because she loved it so much! She especially loves the easy to hold handle. Good product!

Waterpik 360
I have had this for 6 months. I loved it because it’s so compact and easy to travel with however it just stopped charging and I don’t know why. It’s a decent amount of money to only work for 6 months so I’m hoping someone will reach out with a replacement. I would give it 5 stars if it didn’t stop charging after 6 months of use.
