It’s a good pedal. The difference between the normal and treble toggle is negligible, but otherwise a pretty good compressor. Pretty solid construction. Works well with bass too. Well worth a low-risk investment.

Not too much to say. I'm using this compressor in between my bass and a mixer. It compresses decently well, and boosts a little bit but not too much. I think my pedal has a bad ground somewhere, because it does make a humming sound when it's on, and the hum goes away when I bypass the compressor. That would make me mad on a $100 compressor, but you get what you pay for on a $30 unit.

This is my favorite compressor of these smaller brands so far. Great sustain and pumps up the clean sound to perfection.

It is a mini pedal, just going to say you get what you pay for. It does compress the tone. But controls are extremely touchy. The treble bleed switch or whatever it is not really sure that its needed. It's ok

Its a decent pedal. Does what it's supposed to. Gave it 4 stars. Its really great if you're practicing or performing but playing at bedroom levels it's very noisy and almost unuseable. Its nice because it's small and doesn't take up a ton of room on my board. But to be fair I didn't pay top dollar so I can't expect the perfect compressor. If you're going to use it at band practice and on stage it's perfect for you if you're going to use it in your house at lower levels it's probably better to pay a little more for a better compressor.

Inexpensive but sounds good... sounds like a compressor that does the job. Plus it’s a small pedal. Adds nice compression and sustain, but like any compression pedal, it sounds mushy after a point. Also, the Pedal clicking mechanism doesn’t create a popping noise that other many other mini pedals have issue with.

I bought this unit for my bass guitar pedal board as I did not want to spend a lot of money on a compressor. I did spend money on a good Ampeg Classic preamp and the Tech 21 YYZ preamp as well and they are both high quality and great sounding. The VSN compressor is the weak link in my signal chain. As the compression ratio is increased, the noise level goes up as well. Too noisy for my needs, but you get what you pay for. The “normal” switch position is a flat response where the “treble”position is bright. Not a versatile compressor pedal at all. If you only need minimal compression and don’t mind losing your “low end” in the process, this might work for you. I can use it as a backup unit, but I just purchased a Keely Compressor at $130.00 and I would suggest spending at least that much for a quality compressor pedal. Spend your money on a good preamp, EQ and compressor and less on your effects pedals. Effects can degrade your tone but your core tone is essential before being processed by effects.

This compressor did not work at all. I may have just gotten a lemon but I didn’t want to risk getting a new one…
