... Showing when it first came out and I really like it. It was enjoyable
I rented Last Showing when it first came out and I really like it. It was enjoyable. The story was pretty good. This is more of a suspense movie and it kept me on the edge of my seat. So I decided to buy it when I saw it on Amazon.

The Cinematography and Production Value is something i wish every movie had
Having encountered a good many misses rather than hits from the Prime Video catalogue, when i saw that Robert England dude-that played Freddy Kruger was in it, I knew this movie couldln't be too bad.But I was not expecting the production value that i saw.The lights made every scene a jaw dropping beauty to view-matched with the incredible cinematography. It's like you are on a museum ride in the film-i sincerely hope that the people who worked on the cinematography and lighting for this movie get many more positions after this because WOW, it was beautiful to watch. I didn't want to take my eyes off the screen for fear of missing a shotThe movie theatre is likewise magnificent-i never thought i'd say this, but shout out to the set crew!!Highly recommend for a quality viewing experience!

Robert Englund Plays A Villain? No Way!!
This was a pretty entertaining movie. Falls more into the Thriller/Suspense genre more so than horror but it was fun. It had a great atmosphere. Plus Robert Englund is in it, that alone is reason enough to check it out!

Not knock your socks off, but good.
Very nice. I have always been pretty shy of Robert Englund. I just loathe Freddy Kruger and though I loved the RE in V, he's made some AWFUL project choices, such as Strippers Vs. Zombies or Zombies Vs Strippers or whichever one he was in. But this was good. Solid. Not knock your socks off, but good.

Good horror / thriller that never makes it out of the cinema
Robert Englund is for me one of the quintessential horror icons, easily up there with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing but bringing his own comical timing to a genre not linked with comedy. This outing from Robert is more suspense thriller than horror (dark settings but no gore fests) but it does give faithful nods to the genre, including some touches of his past characters in his general creepy/comic demeanour (like later Freddy movies).Filmed in Chesire Oaks VUE cinema and with an almost full British cast, Englund is an old school projectionist who after endless belittling by his boss and forced to shovel popcorn until his retirement decides to take his film background to a whole new level, by carefully choreographing his own scary film using a young couple attending a midnight screening.Plenty of chase's and twists in the film and scenes that will have you shouting at the set 'what the hell are you thinking / doing'. Despite what you might think is a foregone ending to this film, you get yet another twist.Bluray also contains a number of extended / deleted scenes which on the whole don't add much to the plot be give a better insight into Englund's character.Certainly worth a watch at least once even if horror / thrillers are not your genre.

A movie where you really hope that the bad guy succeeds...!
Spoiler alert!!!!!Whilst I've never been a fan of the horror genre, the premise of this movie was one that had me intrigued. My wife is surely sick and tired of me grumbling about the decline of the art of film presentation into cinemas being reduced to a giant blu-ray player with a grossly over-priced food concession run by teenagers who don't give a **** about movies! As a small boy, the first job I ever wanted was to be a cinema projectionist! I was, (and still am), fascinated by the mechanics of film presentation. How I'm glad I didn't, for, whilst I sympathise with the protagonist's point of view, I find his modus operandi in this movie quite curious.Yes, I admit that the arrogant, public schoolboy type needed taken down a peg or two, but I don't see how the outcome of this movie achieved anything. As a result, there's very little ramping up of tension, since there's no sense of caring about the three victims' fate. I can quite see where Englund's character was coming from! The film is acted well, with Englund playing against type as a character who is so ordinary that the horror is in his uncharacteristic behaviour. Perhaps this movie works best when seen in a quiet cinema late at night! So, not bad but not great either.

Fairly enjoyable horror movie that see's Englund on form.
Fairly enjoyable psychological horror film ableit with plenty of flaws. Robert Englund is the main reason to watch this as he stars as a demoted projectioner at a cinema complex. By the way this film was made in the Vue cinema in England. So now a digruntled Englund is reduced to serving popcorn to cinemagoers and he is very upset.Enter a couple who have come for the midnight showing of The Hills Have Eyes Part 2- and cue Englund to wreck absolute havoc first on the manger who demoted him and secondly on the couple. The joke works perfectly well as to why only 2 people would turn up to a movie that director Wes Craven publically disowned and the movie goes along well enough. However The Last Showing suffers everytime Englund isn't in a scene and the writing is quite poor. The two leads have terrible dialogue and are fringe actors at best and this does bog the film down somewhat. However director Phil Hawkins has a nice eye for a shot and has directed well and it's always nice to have a horror movie located in a deserted cinema. We need more horrors like this as only POPCORN comes to mind from 2 decades ago.The climax of the movie is done well but then drags its feet and becomes something akin to an anti climax. We only learn in the extras that the ending was intended to be even longer! Fans of Englund will enjoy this devilish little picture and he has certainly been in far worse movies, this on the face of it is rather good for what it is.

It's ok
Arrived well packed, the disk had no scratches and the box had no damage, the film itself is a bit meh it's interesting to watch when you know the places it's filmed so well so you get to see it from a different point of view.Robert England was good in this but it's not his best work
