This tool is a BEAST & I Love It!
This thing is a BEAST! As a long time DIY'er, I decided to build my own pasture fence, which was 570 feet of 2 3/8" pipe and 7/8" sucker rod. Needless to say, the pipe and rod (used oil field products) were pretty rusted and I needed to prep it for paint. I've tried wire cups on an angle grinder, wire wheels on an angle grinder, flap discs on an angle grinder, and a belt sander attachment on an angle grinder...all required multiple passes to get to a somewhat smooth surface and quickly went through consumables...which was getting expensive. I bought contouring the tool and put a 60 grit abrasive drum paint stripper on it and HOLY COW!! That thing took two passes up / down the pipe / rod and it was down to the bare (shiny) metal. I've been able to clean roughly 200 feet of fence (2 3/8" top rail & posts + 4 rows of 7/8" sucker rod) per drum, so this was much faster and more cost effective. This tool is heavy (~10 pounds) so, dragging this up and down the bottom sucker rod rail only 12" off the ground can be kinda back breaking, but it'd be harder / take longer with any of the other solutions...so it's still a huge win in my opinion. Highly recommend for paint and rust removal...this tool is AWESOME!

Better than expected. Real person making a real post it’s good.
Works great. Doesn’t overheat like the cheap one from Harbor freight. Get what you pay for nowadays. And I’m a real person saying this is good to buy.

Worth it
Works exactly as advertised! I needed to strip 3 layers of paint/bondo from a 1970 Cadillac Deville coupe, and this was up to the task. Bought the grey scotch bright wheel, pricy!, but that 1 wheel got through the entire car! This is the next best thing to having a full sized sandblaster!

Excellent sander
Love it, about it to do my first project car a 1968 mustang. Played with it the night I got it and had the the trunk lid stripped to bare metal in about 20 minutes. It never the metal hot which I understand. Can warp it when using regular sander. Since having it I've already thought of about 20 other projects I'm going to use it on. I'm glad I spent the extra money and got a good unit. Well worth it.

Hard working tool
I have put this through the paces and am very pleased with the quality of the tool. It works well at stripping outer layers of paint from cars but does struggle with the factory paint. I suppose this is more a testament to the quality of the factory paint process.

The best but,
Good quality. 4" Wheels are expensive and this will not fit cheaper wheels which are 4-1/2 or 4-3/4.

Heavt duty
I bought this with the wire brush to clean a stack of barn wood from a barn I was taking down. When it arrived, I was surprised by the weight. This thing is heavy! I think that means it frame and interior parts contain very little plastic--probably all metal gearing although I did not take it apart. I used it for about fours hours continuously. Never faltered! I got the work done in the time referenced. It would have taken me at least 40 hours to do this job with a hand held wire brush and not done as well. This was, however, the dirtiest job I have done in years. Dust everywhere. I used a rare N950 face mask here instead of wearing it to shop. Covid-19 could not be more dangerous than the mess I was making. Anyway, ir did a great job even though I may never use it again.
