Dr. Frederick's Original Arch Support Sleeves Plus, S/M, 2 ct

I think these are great. I have tried a lot of arch supports and it’s very hard to find one that is comfortable. My problem is I don’t like to wear shoes and the hard floors are rough on the feet. I have very flat feet. These give me just enough support. Some support is better than none. You can slide the support where it is most comfortable for you. I wear a pair of non slip socks with them. Very comfortable in shoes and your foot doesn’t slide in them. Sometimes arch supports can be too big and it makes your foot slide to the outside of the shoe. Very uncomfortable and unstable. They are nice to wear with sandals and shoe and easy to clean. Don’t try to wear these all day. The first hour I wore them I could feel a difference in my arch’s and my back. Remember, you are asking your body to do something different. I think these are awesome.

I bought a pair of ankle Corral boots on-line that are adorable but offered no arch support for my moderately high arch. I researched a lot and decided for this brand because the boot was already on the tight side and I didn't want to add a lot more bulk in any place besides my arch. Yes, I read that some reviewers had problems with the silicone tearing but that wasn't my main worry for a single wear at a wedding event. I just wanted to ensure that they didn't tear that first wearing. Sure enough, they were perfect and very comfortable although I did get foot sweating (never have experienced that before). Anyway, they didn't tear and I was very comfortable the entire night (7 hours). I don't think I will be able to say the boots will be "broken in" because of my high arch but at least for casual wearing these inserts worked for my high arches way more comfortably than I ever expected.

Helpful, comfortable and it does the job. It can be worn even if you are barefoot.

I'm literally like 1 cm from being completely flat-footed and as a result can't walk 100 steps without my feet, ankles, and back killing me. These sleeves helped, I can walk a few more steps before my feet and back start screaming for me to stop and sit down. The are a little uncomfortable at first (kinda feels like you got a sock rolled up under your arches), but you do get use to it after sometime of wearing them. My biggest gripe is they don't stay in place. Even if you wear them with shoes. As I'm walking around with them, the bit that's under my arches shift to the inner-sides of my feet. Oftenly I have to stop what I'm doing and readjust them into place. They're made of latex rubber-type material, so my feet sweats with them on after a while. They are fairly easy enough to clean and seem to held up good - hasn't stretch out or anything. Unfortunately, I had to stop wearing them by order of my Podiatrist. One day I was wearing them barefooted while I was home straightening up my apt and doing household chores. As per usual the pads in them shifted as they always do and caused pain in the backside of my right foot, just behind my ankle. Diagnoses - a ligament sprain.

Of all the various products I have tried, these simple silicone pads have been the best relief so far for newly developed plantar fasciitis on my left foot and this really helps me walk without so much pain.

My fallen arches were causing terrible ankle and knee pain for years. I started wearing these, and the pain went away completely. I can walk much further now, and for the most part I can wear all my old shoes. I even wear these with heels, hidden under tights. The silicon allows a close fit and the sleeves don’t slip. The only thing that’s bad about them is eventually they do rip. I’ve gone through 2 sets in the past 3 months— but keep in mind that I wear them every day, so they take a beating. Considering how expensive and ugly shoes with orthopedic foot beds can be, I consider these a huge win! I can wear my favorite doc martens and vintage heels now with no problem. When summer comes I’ll have to find a better, less visible arch support, but for autumn and winter they’re an ideal solution.

I like to go barefoot around the house – we have wall-to-wall carpeting and it’s comfortable and my bunion’s acting up and I’m trying to put surgery off. But doing that I developed plantar fasciitis. Aargh. So I thought I’d try barefoot with wraparound arch supports and I like these the best because they don’t feel like there’s anything there. The ones with stretchy elastic bands I find bulky & uncomfortable. And these fit inside a shoe - like my sandals that don’t have great support. But… They rip. The silicone is very thin and very fragile and the first pair ripped after two days. I returned them and decided to try a second pair and be really careful with them. I wasn’t uncareful with the first pair but I thought I’d try again and be ultra careful. Well, they ripped on the second wearing anyway. I was trying to ease them off my foot – because they’re silicone on skin, they tend to stick - and my finger went right through. I don’t have long nails. I keep my nails very short but still it went straight through the silicone as I was trying to stretch them slightly to take them off my foot. So, sadly, I can’t recommend them.

I did a video review of these slip on silicon arch supports. I like them. They are worth the try. Easy to clean and long lasting. Could use a little more arch in them but I use them with other inserts. I’m 5’9 about 250 pounds and have had lower back problems all my life and I have sciatica pain all the time. Numb foot as we speak. I would just stick with dr scholls arch supports at Walmart at that machine they have if you really need some support. These amazon arch supports aren’t worth a darn except for these silicon arch supports. Update August 2020: they are starting to get tears on them so I guess silicone doesn’t last. But you could just stick them inside your shoes with glue or two way tape? I will probably just order another pair. Still does the job. The price is still cheaper than other arch supports out there. I might just get Walmart dr scholls arch supports they have on those machines for $50.
