Pelican 1040 Micro Case (Black/Clear)

I had recently purchased a pocket selfie drone and wanted to get a hard case to protect my investment. There are not many cases for the drone so there were many people saying that they had made a custom 3D printed one. After pricey those out, I determined that they were a little more than I wanted to spend. So, I started looking at purchasing a ready made case that could do the job and came across this one. The measurements were perfect and the drone fit in there like a glove. The case's shell has a very rigid outer shell and will definitely protect my drone. I tested it in water and yes, it is waterproof, as they claim. However, my drone should be nowhere near water to need to rely on the feature hopefully. There is not much padding on cushioning on the inside of the case. The top of the case has a thin foam liner and bottom of the case has an even thinner foam insert. I may have to add a little foam to it. The case comes with a carabeaner to latch the case to hooks, backpacks and other items. It also has a very secure latch that secures the case closed and ensures it watertight integrity. I like this little case a lot. I can travel with my drone with less worries about it getting damaged. I am very happy that I was able to find it.

For those with EpiPens looking for a case for kayaking or anything water related this one is perfect! It fits 4 EpiPens and my phone (iPhone 15 pro). I also had another brand of EpiPens that it fits 2 of plus 1 other. I don’t have the name brand EpiPens to test. Overall this is a great case for EpiPens.

Pelican makes a case for just about anything you need to protect. The small ones are incredible for in-ear monitors. I use them for a number of electronic pieces I need to transport from place to place. I prefer the ones with the clear lid to see what's inside, but they make these small plastic ones with non-see-through lids so whatever you want to protect is not visible to anyone seeing is come out of your backpack. Do make sure to measure whatever you want to protect, if it can't be folded or wrapped up. One of the reasons these project so well is the interior lining. It takes up some room. Most times you will have the interior measurements as well as the exterior ones, so getting one with the proper dimensions shouldn't be a problem.

I love these cases. I bought several of them (1010, 1020, 1040 & 1050) and turned the 1040 into a hard shell diabetes kit case (glucometer, test strips, pen needles, lancets, alcohol wipes, and insulin pen) I removed the rubber insert and lined both halves with sticky-back velcro and then put a small tab of the opposite velcro on each item. Works like a charm - everything stays in place, it's all contained in a small package, and I don't have to worry about my stuff getting crushed when I travel. The 1040 size fits a couple of altoid - size tins side-by side perfectly (with the liner removed). The tins work really well for containing enough pen needles and lancets for a week or so use. The case latches securely and is damn near indestructible. It has a loop for a belt or nylon strap and includes a carabiner. I think you can even put a small padlock on some models. I would caution against submerging the cases for any length of time - I think they're more designed for water resistance rather than protecting your delicate electronics from a full fledged dunking. I do think they float, so that's a bonus too.

This pelican 1040 fits my Tonewood Amp 2 perfectly! I don't need to worry about the amp getting wet at all when stored. I sure it'll take a lot of bumps and drops. Be sure to use the bag that came with your amp, though!😁😁😁
