I see mixed reviews on whether or not these have an adjustable waist. Do they? Thanks

Monique. Even though the Levi's you need are still in the 'Little Kid' size range, which automatically get adjustable waists in Levi's- you are in luck for even a little bit longer! I just got mine packed and shipped back to them yesterday (there had been a long illness in the family- I sure hope it's not too late!) And as I mentioned in a previous comment, these didn't fit him AT ALL - and had to be returned as I read them as being the 'slim' fit offered, just as they will often label the regulars and huskies individually on this site (and most others), but they were simply regularrs, not slim fit. The slim fit mentioned in the descriprion was meant to describe the over-all fit of the 511"s as of 2016. Prior to 16, these pants were the old 514 fit pre-16. The 514 2016's fit like the 511 2016 - they just switched out the labels and what seems to me to be an effort to allow for fewer return's (instead of announcing the changes) they opted to graciously put the adjustable waist band back into jeans after they'de been removed after the kids moved from little kid sizes to big kid, which had always been at size 7. After your son gets past 'little kid' Levis, that was when they would usually remove the adjustable waistband out of the kid's Levis (I missed them).The 511's of 2016 fit like regular 505's have always fit. I know they have the adjustable waists available once more on the 511's and 514s as of 2016, but I keep repeating the date because Levi's will change fits, lengths and sizes (such as this year) and never mention it to their loyal consumers. I would hate to read this review in 2017 only to find it backwards all over again - so be forwarned!I had to return all seven of his school jeanthis.year, and I still might be losing all the $$ over a family health issue AND a sudden unanounced change of fit (that even the tightest button hole won't cover up) would just be too annoyed to remain the loyal customer I've always been.I hope this helps someone!Good Luck.p.s. my son is 10 and has always worn Levi's 514's in the SLIM size, i.e., 2 s -- 12 s today. The slim sizes tun 2 inches tighter in waist and 2" longer in inseam.

My teen is a 29” in seam with a 25” waist. 29” hips. He is 5’9”. What size would fit?

I wish I had the answer but I’m having the same problem...my son has grown so much during quarantine and is slim so clothes just fall off without a belt if they’re not slim fit ... size chart hasn’t helped....

Why do the black stretch jeans smell like burnt rubber? I have washed them multiple times and the smell won't go away.

if your child weighs more than 40 lbs it is better to size 5 my recommendation.

Shhhh!! Don't let your tween (teen) daughter know these are BOYS jeans!! Best Jeans Ever!

these jeans are PERFECT for tweens (and probably teens!)! unlike those awful skin-tight jeggings inspired by that narcissistic family broadcast on media 24/7, these 511 performance slim jeans are the REAL DEAL: comfortable, sturdy, hip and practical. just remove the tags before your daughter notices! i purchased my first pair at a big box store for a real bargain price, not expecting much; but my tween took to them and now it is what she wears all the time. Sturdy & stylish, these put those flimsy, circulation-stopping, skin-tight jeggings to shame!! oh, and real life true story: i dragged my kid in to watch "Licorice Pizza" and unfortunately someone left chewing gum all over her seat and when we noticed it clinging to her brand new Levi's 511, i was quite upset. I put the jeans in the freezer overnight and was able to remove the offending chewing gum and the jeans look new again! very stain resistant, too. Highly recommended!

My favorite version of levi's.

Have been wearing 511 style Levi's for well over a decade. As someone with a body who is at that awkward point between teenager and adult, at 5'8" and weighing 120 LBS, these fit great in both size 14 or size 16. The size 14 is for when I want a slightly tighter fit, where as the size 16 pants lets me have a more lose fit that lets the pants go over my hip top shoes. Both sizes fit and look exactly as they should.

Great 3T for a skinny kid

Most jeans are too loose on him but these are AWESOME! Bought 3T for our slim 3 year old and it’s perfect. Good quality and last power - he’s hard on clothes. We buy these repeatedly when we size up for all kids.

Bigger and baggier than expected

Pants were too big and baggy for me. Interesting since I got the same thing a couple of weeks ago and they are a fairly good fit. I am a tiny lady and I find various boy sized jeans pants to work well. Especially with Levi brand. Shrink to fit button fly are not made small enough, darn it!

We purchased size 20 for our tall, skinny teenager and the jeans are great: soft, stretchy, and comfortable. However, we wish that the actual measurements had been listed since size 20 is actually "Reg 30x30" and we were expecting a smaller waist for a boys size (28" or 29"). Another reviewer wrote that size 18 in these jeans is 29X29 so our long search for 28x30 and 28x32 jeans continues. Note that here is no internal belt in the larger sizes of these jeans so we are using a YYST Fashion Secrets Pants Hip Hugger Back Belt to keep these jeans from falling down.
