Fantastic Watch, I work in corrections its built nice and at a price range where if it happens to break doing a cell extraction or something along those lines its not gonna break the bank to fix, replace. Very sturdy easy apply watch band no mental on the watch clasp thats also huge in my line of work.

I am comparing this to a Timex Men's T40011 Expedition Camper Black Fast Wrap Velcro Strap Watch . I think the target market for the Timex and this Casio are about the same...people who are looking for an inexpensive yet dependable watch to support their activities in The Great Outdoors. However, that watch doesn't need to have tons of bells and whistles on it, nor does it really need to be overbuilt. I have to say, in terms of styling this watch really has a lot going for it. It just *looks* outdoorsy. The band matches the color accents on the watch body nicely, and the numerals are complimentary to the entire scheme. It really is a sharp looking watch, especially when you consider the price point. And yes, in terms of flair I think it has the edge over the Timex, even though I could kind of do without the "Forester" name at the top of the watch. The band is nice and light nylon with a Velcro fastener. It has an entirely superfluous loop on it, though, intended to secure the end of the band. Not sure what this is for, since the Velcro keeps everything nice and tidy. It just makes it harder to take the watch off your wrist. I actually cut the loop off this watch. I'm also not a fan of the "Forester" name imprinted on the end of the band. In terms of function, the watch performs identically to the Timex with one distinction - the Casio is water resistant to 100 meters, while the Timex is water resistant to 50 meters. In practical terms, this means with the Casio you really have nothing to worry about when it comes to being near, around, or in the water. The Timex suffers a bit, since a 50 meter rating really means "showers and rain." The functions on these watches are otherwise identical - simple timekeeping, no bezel, and a date only. Honestly, since this watch was intended for a Boy Scout to have something simple with him as he's hiking around, the date function on either isn't that important for that. Now then, the illumination. The Casio features a rather nice backlight, activated by a dedicated button on the side. In practice I found the button a little difficult to manipulate. It just didn't seem as positive as the all-in-one crown and Indiglo knob on the Timex. However, the illumination does a good job in making the face easy to read in near- or total darkness, but isn't so bright that it's blinding. Since I mentioned the crown - the Casio has it offset at the 4:00 position, the Timex at 3:00. I found the crown on the Casio a little harder to manipulate because of where it is. Indeed, I couldn't pull out the crown at all while wearing the watch. So I have to say, this isn't a *bad* watch. It's a simple watch that will serve you well on outdoorsy things. It's light (indeed, I often forgot that I was wearing it) and keeps decent time. I do have to give the Timex the edge though, simply because of the way the crown is designed and the kind-of-weird light button on the Casio. But that isn't to say the Forester won't serve you well...it will.

Tells time and date which is ALL I want in a watch. It is a replacement for the exact same make and model which through several years of hard use. Also, because it is anaalog, many Gen-Z people cannot read it which is an added benefit.

Update 2018: Nine years later this is still a good watch. Original battery, strap, etc. and not a single problem in nine years. And I'm surprised at the accuracy level -- surely the best of all timekeeping devices I own. This watch costs less than two adults going to a movie nowadays! I can't imagine what drawbacks it would take to get less than five stars. This provides reasonably easy to see and accurate time. Setting/resetting is simple and straightforward. They say it will last 10 years; if it only lasts one year it's a bargain. Hell, gold is bouncing around at $1200 an ounce now -- and gold won't let you know what time it is! This watch is extremely light, you put it on in two seconds and you can forget about it. Bang it up, scratch it, drop it in a tankard of beer, lose it, who cares? As watches go, it's not perfect. I'd prefer it to be just a little bigger. I'd like a little more contrast between the face and hands to easier discern the time. The date window is just a bit too small for some older eyes. The nylon/velcro band will absorb sweat -- and stink over time. So it will need to be washed, simple enough. Any kind of soap and warm water will do it. Dry overnight. One highlight, so to speak, is the lighted dial. When you press that button, it LIGHTS up! For me, that means when I'm in that dark movie theater and bored with what's on the screen, I can take a solid peek at the time to see how much more boredom I'll have to endure. If I were going to the dance, I'd wear my "good" watch. If I were going to war, I'd wear this one!

So far so good. dull colors and finish perfect for hunting. Water resistance should be good for fishing.

最近、体質が変わったのか、腕時計の周辺に汗をかくと、かぶれてしまう事態に。リストバンドの上から時計をしたりして工夫しながらも、新しい時計を探して、メタルでもなく、ラバーでもなく、革でもなく・・・。で、見つけました！コレ、コレ！こーゆーのが欲しかった。ただ、男性用なので、若干バンドが長く感じられますが、まぁ、マジックテープなので、そこまで邪魔にはならないかな。色も大きさも私好みで、重宝してます。

Good quality outdoor watch, looks the part,i have a small wrist so the strap can feel a bit bulky.if you are out in the dark it does have a back light button.

Relógio muito bom! Pelas fotos achei que era maior que um G-shock, mas não é! O mostrador dele é pequeno como da pra ver na foto em comparação a uma tampinha de refrigerante. O que deixa ele "grande" seria a pulseira, ja que da duas voltas! Se vc por outra ele ficará menor do que ja é, em si pra mim é um ponto positivo porquê meu pulso é fino! O relógio é aprova d'água, resistente e leve. O relógio tem uma luz amarela bem forte para o escuro, muito melhor que os relógios f-91w ou f-105w! Pelo preço ele vale muito a pena, muito mais que uns relógios por ai. Em si ele é um relógio pra qualquer coisa, ja que ele tem uma resistência muito alta a água, mas evitem usar no banho pelo vapor! Ele é original e vem com todos os papeis inclusos e com nota fiscal da amazon USA. Comprem sem medo!
