One of my favorite DrM Styles
I've always loved Dr Marten shoes. I've owned several pair over many many years. I usually stick with two different styles. This style has a more stiff upper ankle and the other is the padded ankle (brown shoe in the photo). Both are incredibly comfortable and can last what seems like forever. This stiff upper ankle style can take a few days to break in. When I first put them on, I have to wear thick socks as I always tend to get a blister where the upper portion rubs against the back of my foot. However, after wearing a couple times, this is no longer an issue. The leather stretches and softens pretty quickly. That's the one reason why I sometimes where the other style. I mostly wear the other style if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking. To me, these shoes are workhorses. They can handle a huge amount of abuse. While (to me) they are incredibly great looking, I usually am wearing these for working around the house or the car. I prefer the black when I'm working on my car. They can maintain a nice look regardless if I scuff them or get some oil/grease on them. The sole is also nearly indestructible and great when working on slippery surfaces I've read some reviews where people can tell the difference on newer vs older and where they are manufactured. Perhaps I've been pretty lucky, but I haven't had any issue with these shoes. I'm wondering if they somehow are purchasing knock-offs. I'll continue to buy Dr Marten shoes as long as they are in existence and they maintain the high quality and relative good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

Socialist Republic of Vietnam makes great shoes and coffee!
These shoes are made in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - not noted on the sole of the shoe or on the Box? It is stamped inside - not sure why this is the case - I find the build quality to be great. Perhaps they are somewhat large - but this allows for an insole if this becomes an issue - right now I just lace them snug. I have found saddle soap helps leather break-in and use that on most of my leather - chairs, car seats, I see several posting of separated soles on the Amazon site. Folks indicate the shoes are only 6 months old - yet looking at the photo's the uppers are in horrible shape for only six months of service. I liked these so much I actually purchased a second pair of the same shoe - as a price for the complete pair is about the same as a new sole.

Doctor Marten's came through and replaced. I recommend the UK-made Docs.
DM came through. So, my first pair of Doc Martens are still going strong after 23 years of regular wear, this pair I purchased is not. I have 5 other pairs, all in various states, mostly very good. My newest of those 6 pairs is maybe 17 years old. I have no concerns with any of them, other than wear-and-tear. This pair I purchased in December 2016 blew out the Air Wair sole in less than 6 months. I used some shoe glue to repair, but they have continued to come undone. At first, the quality on these appeared to be superlative. I'm very disappointed in the lack of quality in this pair of shoes. I recently did some research, discovering that they closed most of their UK manufacturing facilities and now manufacture in Thailand, and maybe somewhere else. This came as a shock to me. I've seen that problem with the soles is not an uncommon problem. I have always advocated for Doc Martens shoes and boots, and will continue to do so, but will also from now only recommend the UK-made shoes. Sure, the price is easily double. My first pair is 23 years old and still good. That's is a value that can't be made up for with a lower price. Incredibly disappointing. UPDATE: After contacting Dr. Marten's, I was asked to provide pictures and a detailed description, then answer some questions. I received a return authorization. Adter the shoes were inspected, i received a new pair within a few weeks. Made in China. I still intend to purchase only UK made DM shoes and boots from now on, but these seem to be holding up fine.

Great Shoe
Great shoe, fits great and looks great. Only complaint is the same about all new dress shoes- The leather at the top of the back of the shoe is hard and some what sharp eating into the top of the back of your heel causing blisters for the first few weeks until the get broken in. I still think it's a five. I have been wearing these daily for work for approximately four to five weeks.

DMs used to be better & The "For Life Warranty" is Sketchy at best.
BEWARE: The other members are right - They don't make em like they used to. I have DMs that I bought in the UK 20 years ago that are still going strong but the ones manufactured in Asia will not last like they used to. I wear them almost every day and I get about 5 years at most out of them. ALSO - Keep in mind. The Dr. Martin "FOR LIFE" - Warranty DOES NOT APPLY on ANY DMs not bought though their website which means you will pay 20% - 30% MORE for the same shoe to get the Warranty and even then, its up to them to decide if they will replace them or not. Also its only on certain shoes where the warranty actually applies so keep this in mind while shopping. They also make it kind of a pain in the rear to actually buy the ones with the "FOR LIFE" warranty.

Timeless classic shoe
The 1461 is a classic that I enjoy wearing almost anywhere. It is comfortable and just plain perfect! The price was right at the time too. Often a pair will cost over $100. I was able to secure these on Amazon for under $70. My last pair purchased in 2012 lasted about three years before I had to let them go. I have not worn a pair of 1461s since. They feel as good today as they did years ago. A timeless classic!

Late to the Dr. Martens game
I am a relatively new wearer of Dr. Martens having bought my first pair in 2013. That first pair of Dr. Martens Sussex chukkas continue to serve me well. I bought a pair of 1460 boots last fall and they are a favorite of mine. These shoes fit well and the quality is every bit as good as my first two pair. I put a pair of insoles in them and an application of Huberd's Shoe Grease so I'm good to go.

Consegna puntuale, come previsto.
