The only times that I have worn it in the shower was to protect my feeding tube after having the tube replaced and it is healing. Other than that I do not wear it in the shower. Like anything you wear, you should change it every day for sanitary reasons. That is why I own a few of them so I can throw the dirty ones in with the wash. **Q: Can this be used for a cat with a gtube?** A: It was 2 big for what we needed. For feeding it’s not practical as you have to pry the Velcro open under your shirt to access the peg.
