Goof Off Super Glue Remover - 4 oz. can, Yellow (FG678)

I purchased the Goof Off Super Glue Remover and it has been an absolute game-changer! This 4 oz. can works wonders on removing super glue residue quickly and efficiently, without damaging the surfaces. I accidentally spilled some super glue on my kitchen countertop, and I was really worried it would leave a permanent mark. But thanks to Goof Off, the glue came right off with minimal effort, leaving my countertop looking as good as new. The size of the can is perfect – not too big, not too small – and it's very easy to apply. A little goes a long way, so this can will last me a good while. Plus, the bright yellow packaging makes it easy to spot in my crowded cleaning supply cabinet. I'm so glad I found this product and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a quick and effective super glue removal solution. Goof Off Super Glue Remover really lives up to its name!

The method I used for removing two white hard spots from cargo pants. 1. I started by soaking the spots on the fabric with remover. I lightly brushed the area with an old toothbrush (before the remover had evaporated). This softened the area and removed some of the glue. When the remover had evaporated, the spots were still hard, but thinner than before and appeared to be a little shinny. 2. I soaked the hard spots and squeezed some softened glue out of the fabric into the surface of a paper towel. This removed more glue, but the hard spots remained. 3. I repeated steps one and two several times on both sides of the fabric. Thin hard spots remained. 4. The spots were finally removed by steaming the remover from the can (with a little pressure) through the hard spots into a paper towel for a minute or so. This step was repeated several times on both sides of the fabric. Each time the hard spots got thinner. With patience, this completely removed the hard spots.

I used this to remove dried-on superglue on a new Brooks Bros. cotton polo shirt, after my dry cleaner gave up. At first I thought it didn't work, but then realized it was evaporating before it could dissolve the glue. As a workaround, I soaked a cotton ball with the product, placed it on the fabric and placed a small square of plastic wrap over the cotton ball to stop evaporation, and placed a small glass jar (inverted) on top of that. Within an hour, the glue had softened sufficiently as to be removable. Expensive shirt rescued, and lesson learned not to use super glue while wearing nice clothes. No matter how careful one is, that stuff seems to get everywhere!

I removed very slowly with multiple applications the old dry super glue adhesive on a broken granite cutting board that used super glue to fix originally. I super glued it back with a clean crack. Looks good for being once broken. It was slow process to clean up, but it worked.

I should have checked the SDS before buying this. That's my fault. This product is not very good at removing or softening any kind of CA glue effectively. Since it's acetone based, it does technically soften super glue, but does so very poorly as the acetone evaporates before it can have any lasting impact on thicker spills. However, since it's acetone, it'll also royally screw up anything you put it on before it manages to do anything to the glue. It lacks sufficient penetrative power to remove anything more than a little dab of glue. On the plus side, it isn't half as toxic as other super glue solvents. It's still toxic and should only be used in a ventilated area or outdoors.

Damn good glue remover and goo gone work much better. This stuff is volatile and the canister will build up pressure if not vented periodically. Takes a lot of liquid to get adhesive off anything. Damn good glue remover has worked most effortlessly.

I was using liquid Super glue and a big drop fell on my cloth recliner seat. It hardened like a rock, and I knew it would eventually ruin that chair. I tried the professional version of Goof Off that I had on hand, tested a non-visible spot to be sure it wouldn't hurt the fabric, it didn't damage the fabric at all, but it didn't work. I ordered this, tested it and put a small amount on the spot with the Super glue. It immediately softened the glue and after a couple of swipes of a toothbrush it brought the plush fibers right back up and the spot was gone!

This really took off the stubborn glue patches and helped me cleanse out the stains on some PVC Mats. The only trouble I had was some of the paint markings which were on the mats had faded off due to the product, but then I had been warned about it. Good product, just be careful on painted surfaces.
