The Best Recommended RAM for Ryzen 3rd gen processors with X570 Chipset motherboard.
Main Review: I am new to PC Build; so I did a lot of research to figure out everything needed to build a high speed gaming/work PC. Memory (RAM) happens to be one of the key components for any PC build and with AMD Ryzen 3rd Gen CPUs(ranging from 3700X - 3900X) I found out that they are super picky with RAM to get the desired optimal performance. I purchased this G.Skill Trident Z Neo(F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC) because it is specifically optimized for X570 motherboards when paired with Ryzen 3000 processors. (source:G.SKILL website). I paired it with a MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk motherboard and AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor and am pretty happy with the performance; the speeds are incredible. Specifications: Your motherboard dictates the RAM compatibility and each motherboard manufacturer has a QVL(Qualified Vendor List) which is available either on their website / documentation; so, please check that out for compatibility before deciding. These RAM modules are rated at 3600 MHz; PC4-28800, 288 pins; CL=16 latency; 1.34v with 16-19-19-39. The height of the memory slot is 44mm (1.73 in) for those wondering if it will fit in your case. The memory chip has a temp sensor embedded on it for tracking the temps in some motherboards and when running diagnostics. I have a MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK motherboard and this RAM is 100% compatible and I got 2 sticks of 16 GB each totaling 32 GB. RGB Colors: The default RGB colors on the RAM are very attractive and have an array of rainbow colors which are nice to look at and are not super gawdy as they have a matte look to them; and the lighting is software controllable if one wants to sync them across all the other RGB devices within the PC; and it needs a separate software (in my case it's MSI Dragon/Mystic Light) that need to be downloaded from the motherboard manufacturer website and it supports various motherboard manufacturers and other 3rd party softwares. Ram Speeds: When you first install any RAM on the motherboard they are designed to default to the lowest configured frequency which is 2200 MHz to prevent any damage to the hardware. One needs to go into the BIOS setup(press DEL key during boot) to change the memory profile to the XMP profile. The process may be slightly different with other motherboards but with MSI motherboards the option is right on the main page denoted as "A-XMP". I enabled this option and was able to obtain the published speeds of 3600 MHz without any problem. When I did this and booted my machine I noticed a sudden jolt of speed increase due to the frequency change from 2200 MHz to 3600 MHz. Overall, I highly recommend this memory to anyone that is using X570 Chipset with AMD Ryzen CPUs without any hesitation; as I felt that speed and performance are very superior when I used it with X570 chipset with Ryzen 3900X processor.

Amazing product, amazing company
I love this RAM set. It looks incredible and performs beyond all expectations. I do a lot of gaming and 3D modeling, and my PC handles everything like an absolute beast now. I will also say that G.Skill is a fantastic company. I was using 4 of these RAM sticks for about 14 months, and out of nowhere my PC started acting funny- having random crashes and just being weird. So I ran a RAM test and found that 1 of my 4 sticks had gone bad. It happens. I then realized that G.Skill backs up their products with a lifetime warranty. So I went to the G.Skill website, filled out an RMA form, and within a week of sending the set with the bad one back, I got a replacement set. Incredible service. And now Iโm back in business. By the way, RAM is now 4 times the price of when I built my PC 14 months ago, so thank god they truly put their money where their mouth is. I canโt recommend this RAM enough.

Do not underestimate the importance of having enough RAM
For a long time I was a believer in "16 GBs is enough RAM for the current day." Well, that is true to some extent but you will suffer shortcomings, as I found out. While my system was stable due to rigorous upkeep and meticulous planning in building and upgrading, I never realized how much of an improvement going from 16 GBs of RAM to 32 would make. Even with a 5600X I saw a remarkable uplift in performance, even though I had decent quality TridentZ RGB 16CL 16GB 3200 MHz RAM. Multitasking and alt-tabbing felt a lot smoother, and 1% lows were greatly improved in CPU-heavy games like Final Fantasy XIV. Stutters that come from loading into new zones or assets are virtually gone. If you are on AM4 still, and have recently upgraded to a 5700X3D or 5800X3D, you will absolutely want to consider it, and this kit in specific. TridentZ Neo kits are made specifically for those people who want to tinker and squeeze every last clock out of their components, and while I'm only a casual overclocker, I haven't found the need to do that with this kit. My Gigabyte X470 mobo automatically detected the kit and set the XMP profile without my intervention, and it's been smooth sailing since. The kit I got is dual-rank Hynix B-die for those who are interested in that. As for aesthetics, the RGB on G.Skill DIMMs is some of the most vibrant I've ever seen. Colors are deep and rich and the gradation is excellent for a diffuser of this size. The heat spreader is two-tone with black and powder silver resembling anodized aluminum. The silver actually reflects the other lights in my rig in a soft, pleasing way. The heat fins are rather tall though so be aware of that if you've got a giant air cooler in your build. Overall I would say that this kit, which would have been $200 a couple of years ago, is absolutely worth the price it's at currently for any AM4 holdouts looking for a cheap but effective upgrade. I wouldn't have considered 32GBs a necessity in the past, but the landscape of games is changing and few people only run one program while gaming anymore. Having the extra overhead does not hurt at all, the speed of this kit will ensure your X3D chip can stretch its legs, and can even give new life to older Zen 3 processors that might be starting to feel a bit lethargic with their age. So, is 16 GBs of RAM enough in 2024? Yes, but you can do much better for not much more. For AM4 users, DDR4 is entering its dirt cheap era, and premium RAM can be had for a portion of a comparable DDR5 kit. There's no reason not to upgrade, as it is one of the cheapest upgrades you can make if you're still running 16 GBs or less on Windows 11.

Great RAM with gorgeous RGB, just not the right fit for me
The G.SKILL Trident Z Neo is excellent quality RAM. The performance is solid, and it handled gaming and multitasking easily. Installation was quick, and I had no issues getting it recognized in my system. The RGB lighting on this set is one of the highlights. Itโs bright without being too flashy, and the colors blend smoothly. It definitely adds a premium look to any build, especially if youโre going for a clean or colorful setup. Value-wise, itโs hard to complain because youโre getting high performance and great aesthetics. Unfortunately, it turned out this wasnโt the right type for my motherboard (my mistake for not checking). If it fits your setup, itโs a fantastic choice.

Ryzen 5800X3D's best friend
Price for performance, this is the best RAM for the Ryzen 5800X3D. The speed is just right, 32GB (or get 2 for 64) is pretty much the new sweet spot for a Windows 10/11 user. This is compatible with AMD boards (B550 user here), and XMP makes installation a breeze. RGB is jut lagniappe, but I will say that the color tones are really nice on this, so the LEDs must be fairly good quality.

Works at rated speed with a B450 motherboard
I am gradually upgrading my gaming PC, and these memory modules are part of that multi step process. It was difficult for me to choose this as this was not specifically listed in the supported memory of my motherboard. But as an enthusiast builder, I gave it a try, and it works. My setup is: - Ryzen 9 3900X - 32GB (2X 16GB) G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series 3600MHz C 16-19-19-39 - MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC - MSI Geforce RTX 2080 Ventus OC - No overclock, cpu and memory running at rated speeds with XMP enabled I went from a Vengeance LPX 3200Hz memory module to this GSkill 3600Hz as Ryzen CPUs love faster memories. At first I tried different memory settings, speed, timings, all of them causing crashes. What eventually worked for me is just run in default settings with XMP Profile 1 enabled, and it detected the timings perfectly running at the rated speed of 3600MHz. I will not bore you with benchmarks and technical details, there are lots of those information out there. But I have a real life usage example that is evidence of a jump in memory speed. I usually have 2 windows of Chrome browser that has 20 tabs each opened for work. When I load all of these tabs at the same time on 2 windows, it is very snappy than before. We know how Chrome browser is a memory hog, but these memory modules can handle loading 40 tabs (2 windows) in a snap. So far, I am very impressed with these memory modules. Installation and configuration was almost auto in the BIOS, and it just works fine. I am planning on getting a B550 or X570 motherboard later on to get a little more headroom for overcloking. And, yeah, the RGB light is pretty.

Worth it, you should return if it makes noise
Works great, worth the price when I bought it in 2024, the only issue I had is that when I bought it one of the sticks makes a weird sound whenever changing colors, just never bothered to get it replaced.
