This Will Work...
Camping in Western/Central Washington, the Great NW, often requires handy devices to keep rain off of things. So I got this rope to string up tarps.Lay the rope on the ground between two trees. Have a big tarp with rope run through the eyes, one rope, entire circumference of the tarp.Lay tarp with the ropes in it on top of the rope laying on the ground. Take one end of rope on the ground, attach it to a tree as HIGH as you can reach!Run the other end of the rope that was on the ground up HIGH around another tree. I use a rather clever slip knot tie back to tighten the rope REAL GOOD.So the tarp is hanging on this rope like a huge sheet on a clothes line. I use some kind of stakes around the outside perimeter of how far out I can pull the tarp. Attach the stakes to the rope that goes through the islets around the perimeter of the tarp. Usually? I use that knock off 550 cord on the stakes to the tarp rope to tie it down... I bought a 1,000' spool of that on Amazon too!SO once things start getting staked down in some degree of control I'll tighten up and tie off the tarp perimeter rope if it isn't still tied from the last time I used it.Then I pitch my tent under one end of the tarp. Have one of those super dense 10 mil white 12' x 16' tarps. That I bought on Amazon. Too hot during the day? Super reflective, shade is MUCH cooler to sit under and the tent doesn't turn into an oven in the daylight. And it's totally 100% waterproof. Oh. I liked THAT tarp so well? I bought another one, one size smaller.BUT it was the rope? This 3/8" camo rope really does the trick for what I needed it for. AND if I really need it to BE SEEN in a high traffic area when I'm hanging it around for something? I always carry a spool of florescent plastic survey tape JUST for that purpose.AND if you just so happen to have 4 trees around like 4 points on a compass or the ends of the letter "X"? You can actually use TWO ropes to lift the tarp even higher. If I'm going where there's nothing to tie off to? I keep 4 10' alder poles around. Just have to manage getting them staked right when the tarp goes up or everything manages to come down at the wrong moment. Can be fun trying to get it right in the rain. With the rope THROUGH all the eyes of the tarp in a circle and tying off to that to hold it down USUALLY you will NOT have the nice eye grommets pull out. Or whatever they are called. ONLY time I've ever ripped one out of a tarp was when I tied direct from the eye to a stake in the high wind.Have been through some real blustery fall weather like this, stayed dry, and didn't rip out a tarp either.G.

Great Rope
This rope was exactly how I expected, so I'll do Pro/Cons:Pros:+ Measured 50'+ Came well wrapped & not messy+ Can be cut purposely with scissors (for a quick getaway)+ Ends burn shut nicely & will then not fray+ Will support at least 135lbs (my weight) for rappellingCons:- Camouflage pattern was only Green/Black, and had no brown- This rope CANNOT be used to climb UP; way too thin!- Cannot climb up through the air or using a surface. Will only go down.Overall, great multi-purpose rope, but do not get if climbing up is what you need it for.

Handy and inexpensive
After using this line over the course of many backpack camping trips, I have come to look upon it as a trusted friend. I use it primarily as a ridge line for my hammock tarp, but it has seen service as a line to suspend my bear bag for food items, suspend my backpack above ground, and clothesline among other tasks. As a general purpose camp line it's hard to beat. It holds a knot well, feels good in the hand (not slick or slippery), and does not lend itself to line twist. It is not made for rappelling down a mountainside and clearly states that. So, if you are looking for a well rounded, lightweight rope for camping or many other uses, then this one should be on your list of things to look at.

Good Line But not Great
As a sailor and a camper I have handled a good deal of line in my time. I picked this because of price and color for project around the house that needed to look good but not hold any kind of load.Overall it works good for that type of application. This line is very ridge and stiff which makes it hard to work with. If I was using it in something that I had to reset or change a lot I would look to spend a little more for a line that is easier to work.

Great line for Boat Fenders
I really like this line for my application. It is a bit stiffer than typical double braid but that makes it even better to use with boat fenders where you want to thread the line through the hole in the fender and when you use a fendergrip with the fenders. I had bought some inexpensive double braid dock lines on Ebay to use for the fenders and it was not nearly as high quality and it was almost too flexible. The package says black and the listing shows black but it looks to me at least to be a very dark brown but it is close enough to black to be fine with me. Also, it seems tough and the jacket seems very abrasion resistant. IMO, a very good buy on Amazon, especially with prime.

Great rope!
As long s you're not climbing with this this stuff, you're golden. This rope is strong, not slippery like that nylon stuff, holds knots great, and it's a decent amount for many random tasks as you need it. When out and about in nature, sturdy rope is a great commodity, even if and even if you don't use it, having it on you gives you peace of mind. I have used it for hanging my hammock, hanging a ridge line, making an actual hammock out of it a la reallybigmonkey's directions on youtube, and I'm sure other tasks that I can't think of in particular at the moment.Totally worth it. Just DON'T CLIMB with it, that's not what it's rated for.

Great for general purpose
At first I got this to do some simple rappelling, nothing extreme. It held out for a couple day trips but then the sheath started to separate from the core in places and the sheath would bunch up a little. So now I just keep it in my car for general purpose (like it is named) and other non - crucial load carrying uses. For how cheap it was it's a good deal, just don't get your hopes up if you plan on using it extensively for climbing.
