🌠 Elevate your night sky shots—because your astrophotography deserves the stars.
The Optolong 2" L-Pro Light Pollution Filter is a precision-engineered multi-bandpass filter designed to suppress common urban light pollution sources while enhancing key nebula emission lines with ~90% transmission. Its aerospace-grade CNC-machined aluminum cell and multi-layer anti-reflection coatings ensure durability and minimal reflection, making it ideal for astrophotographers seeking natural color balance and sharp contrast in suburban to semi-rural skies.

Perfect for Broadband
My go to for broadband targets. In bortle 5, it is perfect!

Great filter for Bortle 7 skies of the suburbs and retains decent color balance
I like the Optolong L-enHance filter a lot, but it is pretty narrow in the Ha and OIII, so sometimes star colors are hard to preserve. This L-Pro filter is a decent compromise for my Bortle 7 suburban skies. I get good contrast in my images and fairly natural colors as well. I think this is a good filter for broadband targets like galaxies, star clusters and some comets. L-enHance is probably better for emission nebula like M57, NGC7000 and the Helix.

Extreme high quality, performs exactly as advertised.
I'm in a heavy light pollution Bortle 8 class, I couldn't image the night sky without this filter. Super high quality, it's a relatively narrow band quad filter. it's my all around go to filter for galaxies star clusters, and even comets. In my city lights, I have gradient to deal with, but better that than washed out or no images at all. I was so impressed that I also purchased the dual narrow band filter for nebulas. For context, I'm using ZWO and QHY astro-photography cameras.

Cuts out light pollution
I purchased the 2 inch. Cuts out light pollution, sure. Also cuts out color and visible light. When using I notice my star field looks a bit like a tunnel. Mostly noticeable before you crop your photos. I used the L Pro for a bit but didn’t do as well of a job on the light pollution but let’s you capture more natural colors.

Great for deep sky photographers
I love this filter. I got it on the recommendation of a friend. My test shots are promising. I'm looking forward to a more substantial capture this weekend.

Great Filter
Amazing filter! Just as good had it been bought from a dedicated astrophotography store. Very happy and would recommend!

Works very well for me.
I use this filter in all my imaging sessions other than those requiring specialized filters, like H alpha. It produces a slight bluish hue that I like. Seems to be working perfectly well in my suburban environment.

Great filter for galaxies and nebula
The filter works well from my Bortle 6 backyard as the attached picture of the Andromeda Galaxy shows. I would highly recommend this filter for imaging with small refractors like the Radian Raptor 61 or William Optics RedCat 71.
