I've been buying from Filterbuy for years now. If you want your indoor air to be as clean and healthy as outdoor air, you need to replace those HVAC filters every couple of months -- so you might as well get good ones. I have 3 pets, I live in a very urban area, and I cook at home a lot. These filters pick up everything. And I like that they're not stored in an Amazon warehouse -- they ship straight from the Filterbuy factory.

I think all disposable filters are very similar if you match the MERV rating. Therefore this filters are a good quality and excellent value.

These filters are the best made filters I have found to date. Sharp folds, tight construction. They filter so well that I had to tape them, otherwise they are vacuumed by my Carrier system. Unfortunately, filter housings are very poorly designed in most AC systems. By blue taping the filters you prevent any filtering loss that will happen with most systems. Air quality has improved by a huge massive lot vs Merv 8 that I was using. These Merv 13 even help with fumes and cooking smells. I have some serious allergies and these filters are definitely a game changer for those who spend more time at home. I feel soo much better. Extremely happy with the change and the filtration capabilities. I have noticed no change in my carrier system performance whatsoever. I'm sure it is harder for the blower motor to use merv 13 filters, but my AC handles it perfectly. Merv 13 could be too much for some older AC systems, so always consider check your model and capabilities of it. My AC is purposely undersized. I run my AC for about 10 to 15 hours a day during the long Central FL summers. You can see how the new vs old looks in the picture after a hard month of use. If you can, get these, you will love them.

Pick this 4 pack for a great price, it's much better then going to the local store and getting a lower quality for more cost. We put one in the A/C unit and can tell the difference in quality of the air. The size is exactly the same as the one that we took out.

Ordered 16x20x4. The actual size is a bit short. It’s really beneficial to have the filter true to the actual size namely, 16x20x4 . 15.5” is not 16”

Good filters

My apartment building recently changed the type of filters they use to save costs. They went from a brand name MERV 11 filter to a no-name MERV 6 filter. I immediately noticed a difference in my air quality and the amount of dust in my apartment. As I have COPD and am on oxygen this was not good. I did some research and found out the vast differences in MERV ratings and decided I need to purchase my own filters for the sake of my lungs. I found these MERV 13 at a great price so ordered them looking forward to breathing better soon. Unfortunately they sent the wrong size! I contacted Customer Service who were very friendly and professionally and immediately shipped out the correct size. I think they put a rush on the shipping as I had the correct filters in just a couple of days. I can tell the difference in the air quality already! I'm am looking forward to dusting so I can see how much less dust accumulates less quickly. These MERV 13 filters trap just about everything - they are the highest rated for residential use. Not even the particles from the summer wildfires are going to get through. Very happy with my purchase (so are my lungs!) and will be buying from this awesome seller again.

Not for Indian environment, gets clogged fully with dust within a week of use

With this size filter, you cannot just run to the hardware store and buy them, so happy they are easy to order online. I find that these are fairly cost efficient, last 4 months in my home, work very effectively to remove dust and clean the air. I find them to work very well during wild fire season as well. They fit perfectly in my furnace, I use a 20x25x4 Merv 13.

I taped a single Merve13 filter to a 20" fan to build a free standing air filter. I also taped four, 5" X 20" X 20" Merv 13 together with a 20" fan to build a second free standing unit. Both cleaned the air in my 2,400 square foot house after a few minutes - checked it out with an air quality meter. Not much 'cleaning' difference in the two except the 5" one with a much greater filter area will last much longer before it needs to be replaced. I have a 5' filter in my furnace as well and change it every 6 months, but it probably would easily last a year. After 6-months there is only very little residue on the filter.

As you can see in the photos, the filter is 4” longer on the one side of my 20” box fan. I simply cut a piece of cardboard for that section and taped off everything to a good air seal. I keep the fan going in my back bedroom to cut down on the noise. I also operate it from 7 pm to 7 am on low. These are the lowest hydro rate times. I keep the furnace air vent wide open in that room and the door wide open too for good air circulation in my 850 square foot house. There is hardly any dust on my floors or in my house now. I used the big fan on high during bathroom renovations last month and little dust settlement. I can see I will have to change this filter at the three month mark because of the renovations. But the next one, I hope can extend for six months before replacement. Yes, the MERV 13 filters are expensive, but in these pandemic times, and me being 69 with health problems; my goal is the best air quality. I am quite happy with this simple portable solution. And hey, the 20” fan was $30.00 at Canadian Tire store. I saw an identical fan on Kijijii for $10.00. Fans are dirt cheap, but really do the air circulation job well for the filter operations.
