Dorman 68203 Under Hood Lamp Compatible with Select Models

I thought of this to fill enough for free shipping. Ended up quite satisfied with the look, quality and benefit from acquiring it. Brightness is good, the fit is good, easy to install as my jeep had one back in the day, it was basically plug and play for me. Good value for the money, it helps a lot when on the road and you need to check quick, very good replacement.

Exact replacement for my Jeep's underhood light, quick to replace as well. Although the guy who engineered this overly complicated device in the first place could use a long vacation.

A little bit flimsy but mounted like the original.

The only thing original was the body & clear plastic cover> Not only did it not work but someone removed internal parts that were missing. The bulb was not the correct one & it had been sodered to both end contacts that were broken. The metal ball circuit connector was missing & replaced with a transistor. I temporary put the bulb sodered ends together & it worked but stayed on constantly because of the ball connector missing replaced by the transistor. The only thing I could use on the part was the clear plastic cover which I put on my old one & had to go buy a new bulb. I threw the rest of that junk part in the garbage> I am so disappointed. That was fraud at it's worst. If you can see fit to give me a refund & look into this distributor I would greatly appreciate it. It is very possible the distributor doesn't even no abotu their product. Respectfully.

Fit my 01 Jeep XJ perfectly. Nice light output for a small little unit. Love the auto-gravity-design these have.

There's not a single redeemable quality about this item. The plastic feels awful and cheap, the hinge was holding on by a thread when I opened the box, the bulb is SOLDERED into the slot!!! there are other awful looking solders inside too. I would give this item an expected lifespan of about 2 uses assuming it doesn't break before you install it. Applied for a return within 5 minutes of opening the box. This kind of quality should be in a dollar store (for less than a dollar), not $62AUD. Absolute disgrace, wont be buying anything with Dorman written in it from here on out, since clearly they don't care about the quality of the product.

Easy to install on a 2000 XJ, super convenient and helpful. Note: Always install it with the plug part facing the engine bay so there's lesser stress on the wire when you plug it in.

I used this to add a hood light to my 2002 Toyota Highlander after I retrofit a super bright LED bulb into my friend's Dodge Charger. Great little light and will work on a wide variety of cars if you're up to the task of a little bit of DIY. Overall quality was a little flimsy but so is the Mopar one - and I knew that before hand. I also replaced the dinky dome light with a super bright LED bulb.
