I know this hard plastic can handle the weight because I have car ramps made of the same rigid plastic. In that case I still use jack stands and wheel chocks as a safety backup, but still, no fail after several years of use. I used a small floor jack to jack up the corners of my bed to place the wheels on the lifts so there was no need to remove the mattress and box spring. Now I can easily move my small, motorized treadmill back and forth, which means I'll be using it more than ever. It wasn't easy to get out before because you needed more of an angle to remove it.
