Sony (STRDH190) 2-ch Stereo Receiver with Phono Inputs & Bluetooth (Renewed)

I like simple, stick with stereo instead of the 5- or 7-channel systems. Yes I am a dinosaur. The Bluetooth capability is useful as that is the only way to get audio out of my TV. The capability to go full analog is wonderful. I use it a lot. It also has a phonograph cartridge input (low-level), enabling listening to a turntable with vinyl records. Works excellent. I have an Audio-Techica turntable with a Shure cartridge connected. Through a pair of Klipsch RP-6000 speakers and proper audio sources it sounds wonderful. In a pair of Koss 4 headphones it also sounds wonderful. Very satisfied with the units. I have two.

Paired with Sony bookshelf speakers and subwoofer, this receiver gives a full, clear sound for LPs, Bluetooth streaming of Radio Paradise HD, FM, and TV. A great sounding receiver at a reasonable price.

WORKS AS IT SHOULD..EASY TO SET UP AND USE.. COULD USE A LITTLE MORE BASS..

Was concerned about the refurbished status of the unit, but it works perfectly. I have only one complaint, and this is about the way they designed it, not a quality issue. That is: This unit has a "wake up" feature that automatically turns it on any time a device it's BT paired to is turned on. For me that means every time I turn on my laptop, the receiver pops on. It's kind of annoying. But if that is the worst surprise I get, I will be happy so long as the durability is there.

Good product. Works well powering in ceiling speakers.

In a word it’s clean . Not loaded with unnecessary complications, appearance fits with other components, an intuitive remote and most important a very clean sound. All you can hear is music a strong midrange , crisp clean highs, and full mellow bass. I’ve spent a lot more money several times through the years but have had a receiver that performs better than this.

Huge disappointment. It arrived SMASHED IN yes the metal casing of thr actual receiver is all smashed in and garbage!! If that wasn't bad enough It still turned on and I used it for maybe a week and it started shutting off all on its own every 10 minutes for NO REASON! All connections are fine and working its this piece of crap receiver that isn't worth nothing. DONT BUY IT

My rather expensive turntable is totally simpatico with this wonderful unit. My podcasts pop on instantly when I dial one up on my smartphone or tablet. I don't listen to radio (FM). I connected the provided antennae wire just to check it out. It's fine. For the price this there's more quality and features than I would have expected. I'm 74 yrs old and take care of my stuff. The last receiver I bought was over 20 yrs ago, no such thing as bluetooth but purchased for home theater. About $500. Wow, we've come a long way.
