Good quality pan, non stick pan easy to clean, the egg cups although plastic in texture the eggs do stick to them if just cracked straight into the cups , I think it would be better with a bit of oil first just so the eggs come out clean, the function is OK, fill the pan with water then pop the cup holder on top , I don't think it should be used with less than 4 cups though because the water would bubble in the empty cup holder compartments, I've used it a few times now and haven't seen any rust forming, it poaches the eggs nicely without drowning them in water

It’s exactly what I wanted and just what I wanted to say I . It’s well made with a nice strong lid , that has a screw if you need to tighten it. I have Googled and it says either spray some oil or a little butter. I tried last night and I was pleased,but they did stick a little. But they were so nice

Before we changed our hob to induction we had a similar pan and post induction missed our lovely poached eggs. This poached eggs pan fills that gap nicely. The plastic cups are large enough for a large sized egg and the eggs cook quickly. We also purchased the oil sprays, one sunflower and one olive oil, recommended to be used with the pans and have very little difficulty getting the eggs out with just a quick loosening using a knife. Alternatively use a smear of butter or margarine. The base of the pan is non stick and useful to use as a small frying pan or an omelette pan. There's no problem washing the components in the dish washer, although I will say that the insert for holding the cups quickly attracts water stains, and this happened to my older poached egg pan also. There is no problem with this, in my view, as it's just an insert, and I can happily recommend this pan to anyone who likes poached eggs.

Works as expected but the 4 hole insert became tarnished at 1st use and is impossible to clean and the knob in the centre has just become detached and cannot be reconnected. But it does still do the job

So this works well and poaches eggs nicely. A couple of thoughts: I have fond memories of holidays in a caravan on the south coast and we would have a fry up for breakfast which included a poached egg or two with bacon, sausages etc. So after this memory was had after watching TV where they poached eggs instead of the usual frying option I ordered this egg poacher. It arrived promptly and I used it the very next day. I was not sure how long it would take to poach the 3 x eggs but I watched and waited, the eggs were done in a few minutes and I had them on toast. All very nice and a slightly runny yoke was had. But then I asked my self what's the big deal? Why not just blinking well fry the eggs as I have done in the past?! Then looking at the poacher fan and the metal bit that holds the 4 x poacher cups in place it was obvious that there was just more mess and more washing-up to do! The cups are easy to wash-up as is the pan but the metal holder seems a bit harder to clean, boiling water and some egg over-flow made that worse and possibly could be avoided with better poaching skills. When frying you get the fan and a spatula and can see very easily when the eggs are fried enough so what's wrong with that. With the poacher you have to first boil the kettle and pour boiling water in to the pan then heat on the cooker to poach. So poaching takes longer, uses more energy and creates more washing-up! This poacher is fine in quality (used once) and does the job of poaching but will I bother in the future or will this new purchase end up in the cupboard with the other un-used kitchen contraptions - answer, yes I think so. Frying is fine and egg to toast coverage is better with a fried egg or two/three.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, & well. Caution. Make sure the water level is well up & the heating well down, but boiling Drying out the pan, leads to disaster.

Ich liebe diese Pfanne, es ist der einfachste Weg zum perfekten pochierten Ei. Ich hatte mir diese pfanne in Südengland abgeschaut und war überglücklich festzustellen, dass ich sie in Deutschland kaufen kann. Super einfach und einfach sauber zu machen ! Absolute Empfehlung !

This pan is perfect for it's purpose, poached eggs. It is not fancy or high end, perfect for the price.
