Alter/Native Rose and Geranium Shampoo Bar, 95 g

This shampoo bar doesn’t lather up as much as one I previously used, so doesn’t ‘feel’ like it’s cleaning as well. However, once I’ve rinsed and dried my hair it feels great, so no difference in results. I have very fine, thin hair and there is no residue or weighing down which can occur with some bars. Smells divine and also lasts ages. Would recommend!

Great vegan shampoo bar which easily lasts us a month and that's which two people using it every day! Smells great and hair feels really clean after using it. Love that the only waste is the tiny cardboard box it comes in which can be recycled. This is also a decent price as other are charging £10+ for a similar product!

This is great value for money, my boyfriend used it on his short hair using it every day for 4 months so it is very long lasting while being great for the environment. He doesn't need fancy shampoos so this is brilliant for him. His job means his hair can be quite dirty so it worked very well to clean it, he did comment that it didn't lather up as much as my more expensive shampoo bar and that he could tell the difference as it this one did not clean his hair as well. However, in terms of the price you can't complain! I'm not sure if I would use it on my long hair but for him it was brilliant, smelt great and I would buy it again.

I brought one of these shampoo bars and this is my first experience with a shampoo bar . It did smell lovely and its a nice big bar, But I would not recommend using this on process hair, it literally felt like I had done 10 rounds of bleach. My hair felt so dry and dead, I had to use a whole pot of conditioner just to make it fell a bit alive . Although I would say for the price it would be a great Xmas present for a family member or friend you don't really like.

I like it but I don’t. It smells good and seems to clean my hair well. But no matter how much i rinse it seems to leave a residue in my hair once dry which makes it feel a little sticky and heavy. I’m in 2 minds as it’s healthier for you and the environment but not nice with my hair not feeling so fresh and light. My hair feels heavy and dull. No shine. Will keep persevering

I've used many shampoo bars over the last year or so and this is without doubt the worst. I thought I'd give it a try because it was so cheap, big mistake. I bought two different ones, rose and geranium/lavender and geranium. They're different colours but apart from that no difference. Neither of them smells of anything at all, which might be a plus to some people. They do appear to clean the hair but leave it feeling so sticky only liberal amounts of conditioner allow you to even run your fingers through it let alone comb it. My daughter described the feeling as "waxy" but I think it's more like super glue. Absolutely do not recommend. Try one of the other, more expensive, ones.

I've been using this for around a year now after trying a different brand which didn't suit my hair (and was double the price) I wash my hair every day and a bar usually lasts a month. My hair had become very thin after having children and bottle shampoo & conditioner seemed to make this worse. This shampoo bar has been fantastic! My hair is much thicker and less greasy, I'm so glad I made the change to this. I use a cider vinegar/peppermint oil spray after washing, I then rinse out and my hair looks great with no residue (and doesn't smell of vinegar!) The cardboard packaging is also welcomed over plastic bottles. Highly recommended!

Lathers up really well. Hair felt a bit 'dry' after I had rinsed the lather off, but it was fine after it had been brushed through. Once dry, my hair felt really soft. Have now ordered the conditioner bar to try, as I was really impressed with shampoo bar.
