This 2 pack of pressure gate Y-spindle rods from Baby Gate Guru is designed as an adapter to help your gate fit banisters at the bottom of stairways. It can be used against banisters, railings, balustrades, and other round supports. It can also be used on angled wall corners or other unorthodox places where a Y-shape spindle rod will fit. Available in 2 standard sizes. M8 fits gates with an 8-9mm diameter opening. M10 fits gates with a 10mm diameter opening. See compatibility info below. These spindle rods are designed to be used with pressure mounted gates only. Pressure mounted gates are installed by tightening the spindle rods against the surrounding walls and objects, creating tension that holds the gate securely in place. By contrast, hardware mounted gates are installed by screwing manufacturer-provided hardware into the walls, then connecting the gate. If you are not sure which size will fit your pressure mounted gate, you can measure the holes that the spindle rods go into to determine the correct size yourself. An M8 screw's true diameter will measure slightly less than 8mm, so will fit nicely into an 8-9mm hole. An M10 screw's true diameter will measure slightly less than 10mm, and will fit nicely into a 10mm hole.

Easy to Use, Very Sturdy, Regalo Compatible
I had no idea these attachments existed and was able to spend HUNDREDS on a baby gate custom made for our iron banisters. I’m so glad I found this! Gate is very sturdy on our rails. The 8mm is compatible with my Regalo baby gate. Very happy with this purchase and have much more peace of mind knowing my baby won’t fall down the stairs. Super easy to install (just like the normal pressure baby gate attachments). These would also work for a wall corner.

Installed on a curved stair banister.
These worked great when having to secure a baby gate to a curved stair railing banister.. The ones provided with the gate were for flat surfaces only. These just replaced the one provided with the gate.

Just what I was looking for!

Peace of mind if you have odd corners for baby gate install.
I bought this for when my second child started crawling around and we had a Hallway with a corner wall and a slightly angled corner. It was a fantastic fit! Looks like it should have come initially in the baby gate, with how well it looked. Well worth the money, and it has outlasted the baby gate itself. With the peace of mind, I would repurchase it. Easy to install, and looks nice!

Easy install!
We use this adapter to attach a baby gate at the bottom of our steps with a wrought iron railing. Installation was easy, it looks nice, and it works exactly as needed. Would definitely buy again.

Excellent for irregular shaped balustrades
We struggled to find a gate that was wide enough and secure enough to be placed at the top and bottom of our stairs.Instead of ugly bits of wood/DIY adaptions, these screws are perfect. They also fit nicely on spindles too.I don't usually leave reviews unless something is very good or very bad. These are very good and i would definitely buy them again
