The MOST comfortable work boot i've ever put on period
Okay Very mixed feelings about this one.Pros:The MOST comfortable work boot i've ever put on period. You can wear these for 12 hours and your feet will never hurt. Not your soles, not your heels, not your lower back. In fact after you take these off you may just wanna slip them right back on. The support is out of this world. it is a little snug so if you have wide feet it won't work for you and you can't wear really thick socks either in the winter 2 thin pairs is all you are gonna fit in there. i would give this product 5 stars just of the comfort factor even almost 2 years later but now let's get to the con.Cons:The re-enforced toe material started separating from the boots almost a month after getting them. And it hasn't stopped. First it was on 1 boot then shrtly after the other started doing the same thing. exchanged them twice thanks to amazon and am sad to say that the 3rd pair did the same exact thing. It is more of a cosmetic blemish than anything as it doesn't really affect the performance of the boot. But considering this is suppose to be the timberland PRO series not acceptable that the toe panel starts falling off almost immediately. Sad really cause other than that this boot is a beast and would have easily gotten 5 stars if not for this

Fit great right out of the box
Fit great right out of the box. Very comfortable too, no break in period. They are light and waterproof as I have gotten them nice and muddy already. We'll see how well they hold up to abuse but they seem pretty solidly built. Hoping they are warm too as winter approaches. I've always bought Timberland traditional work boots and hiking boots and they all hold up well. Will report back with an update after awhile.**** Update**** March 23rd 2015. About 4 months now of hard use and they are still holding up well. Its been a harsh snowy cold winter here on the East Coast. My boots have held up up and stayed warm throughout the winter. The are lightweight and sometimes feel like a sneaker but take abuse on job sites, mud, water, snow and rugged terrain are easier to deal with wearing these boots. Hopefully they';; hold up a whole year or more.****Update ****** 5/28/2016 Well these boots have finally been retired. They lasted about a year and 5 months, not too bad. The tread held up decently and they are good enough to wear still but they are no longer waterproof which I need/want on the job. Just before the toes where the shoe bends there are now holes/rips so water gets in easily. I upgraded to Red Wing boots but would consider these again in the future.

Not great for me
I am a wastewater treatment plant operator. We walk 5-10 miles per day and our shoes constantly get wet. My last few pairs have been the Timberland Chocorua Trail boots. I bought these because the Chocorua Trail boots soles wear completely through in 6 months and the waterproof liner begins to leak at 2 months. These Hyperion boots cost a little more but have Vibram soles, so I hoped they would last longer.I have been wearing the Hyperion boots now for exactly 5 months. They were so uncomfortable out of the box, I had to wear them one day a week to break them in (blisters). After four weeks I began wearing them every day (that was 5 months ago). They are still uncomfortable. The waterproof liner began leaking after two months (just like all of my previous boots). The soles still have a lot of life in them, so they have held up much netter than my last boots. However, the leather upper is tearing right next to the front toe-gaurd, on both boots. The tear is bad enough that I will need new boots in a month. So in comparison with the the Chocorua Trail boots, these boots will last about the same time, but the Chocorua Trail boots were perfectly comfortable right out of the box. Both boots were breathable during hot months, but my socks stayed dry for only the first two months with both boots.

Great all day boots in dry areas, poor slip resistance.
After purchasing timberland pro boots for many years now, I was looking for a change and I saw the Hyperion and I wanted to give them a try.First - I have had these boots for 4 months and I have noticed no deteriorating or breakage from the boots. I work 10 hours a day and in very wet and cold conditions. My feet were very comfortable and warm all the time. So for that I give it a plus. The only major downside that I have to these boots is the Vibriam grip that prevents slipping from oils and water. I have found myself multiple times catching myself due to the poor grip on these boots. This is the first issue I have ever had with timberland boots not being slip proof. As another test I took the books out winter hiking, while I found the boots to be very comfortable and my feet to be dry. I again found myself slipping on very low icey situations (i.e. Branches, small patches of wet snow, especially wet snow on concrete areas). This is the first time I have ever had issues with slippage from a timberland boot.My overall option is that if you plan to use these boots in a dry condition area and where you will be on your feet all day, I would highly recommend them.If you work or hike in wet areas or areas that have a potential for slippage, I would not recommend these boots.

Cheap junk.
These are not at all what I expected after using other timberland boots. These are cheap and feel like Chinese junk.
