Pocket Lighters

I haven't had this thing long, though I've been using it extensively. It reflects everything I love about brass. It's ductile, has a very soft feel, and gained a really nice petina quickly. Don't get me wrong, the nice shiny exterior it had when I pulled it from the box was very pretty, but I was glad to see it wore and changed quickly with use. Unlike the nickel-plated Zippo I had before, this one shows character already. Scratches, nicks, and dulling where I hold it all showed quickly. If you want something shiny and pretty, stick with the nickel-plated kind. If you want something that will age with you and show that it's uniquely yours, this is clearly more your style. Keep in mind, the chimney insert is steel with what seems to be a brass plating. That's fine, as that's the part that needs to be supremely durable. Altogether, standard high quality Zippo. Absolutely worth the price!

This lighter works amazing. One thing I do recommend is giving it a good polish straight out of the box. This zippo comes with a clear coat on it that prevents it to age. If you want to get that amazing brass patina on this lighter fast you must remove the clear coat.

Works well and is a classic but Ive gotten several new zippos lately and they just don't seem as nicely finished as they used to be. All have had fitment issues and QC problems I've had to fix myself. Not as polished as they used to be and the edges almost seem roughly rounded and formed. It's still a zippo and works great in all other regards.

Great product, delivered on time. Zippo lighter, what can you say? They've been awesome for over 70 years. This one I just got is in every way identical to the one my dad had when I was a kid. His still works. I expect mine will in 50 years as well.

First let me say that I own several Zippo lighters, and this is the smoothest of the lot. The price was very good as well ($16.14), well bellow list ($24.95) Zippo High Polish Brass Pocket Lighter . If your like me, you look through the reviews before buying. One of the one star reviews talked about the flint roller locking up after a month and another about scratches. If this is your first Zippo, when the roller locks, it just means you need to replace the flint. The flints are available where tobacco products are sold and are very inexpensive. As far as the scratches, its made of brass, and if you use the lighter regularly, expect a few scratches from time to time. Final rating: Two Thumbs Up

The original Zippo lighter sits on the desk of the company CEO and still works. Yes, you have to keep it filled and it is prone to evaporating of the fuel but outside of that it will outlast most buyers. I am personally not interested in a Chinese replica. Give me the American made original.

Nice! Works and fits with butane insert. I don't know why the Jim Beam reference in the header. No Jim Beam anything and thats what I wanted. So if you are looking for a Jim Beam logo this lighter has not.
