This door stop is one of the best door stops I’ve ever seen. It’s solid and functional due to its perfect size and rubber body. This door stop is truly a premium product comparing to other cheap plastic door stops. This door stop does its job and stops my doors. And it does not scratch my floor! What I like even more about this door stop is that it looks great so I can use it as a decorative door stop. I highly recommend this product for all your door stop needs especially if you are looking for a decorative door stop that will add some style to your home or office.

Small doorstop wedges (traditional) require a serious yank on a heavy steel door to 'set' the stop and keep it from sliding -- and it doesn't always work. We have a steel entry door to an apartment elevator vestibule, and need to secure it open sometimes so we can comfortably do load-ins of bulky items. This works far better than the little or medium-sized wedgies, and is pretty hard to forget and leave it, because of its size and stylish design! Don't know how long the rubber will stay supple, so didn't mark on 'durability' -- but it looks durable. Very slight offgassing from the rubber compound when you first remove from packaging... but we love the smell of new tires in the morning anyway!

This doorstop is awesome. I tried different other doorstops and I’m finally fully satisfied. Doors in our office are really heavy and other doorstops just slide and do not hold the door. Relative to other doorstops this one is quite heavy and solid. This is the first doorstop that was actually functional enough to hold the door. It’s big/heavy enough and made of good solid rubber. This doorstop is totally worth the money. It seems to be durable enough so I won’t have to replace it any time soon. Neat bonus is that it looks really cool. Metal handle makes it somewhat stylish. I am definitely ordering more of these doorstops for our office.

I needed it to provide some resistance for a pet gate on a hardwood floor and I could not get it wedge under it enough to hold. Before I returned/reviewed I wanted to be able to be positive about it stopping a door so I tried it under a door that opens over smooth hardwood. It did not even slightly hold. I tried it with a door that opens over carpet and it also did not hold. Our doors have a standard ½ inch clearance on the bottom. They are solid wood. It did appear to be very well made and sturdy. It just did not stop the door even with slight pressure.

We have a small classroom/meeting room in our NSF funded Engineering Research Center that I designed as a flexible education and outreach space. Because it can be configured into a large conference room and has good video conferencing capabilities, it is a popular meeting place for several of our project groups. I also use the room for help sessions with the students in my classes. The one flaw in the design has been that the room door cannot be kept open because the floor is tile and none of the doorstops we have found grip it well. This excellent little stopper actually works! Now we can properly welcome our students and colleagues to our meetings when an open door. My only concern is that it works so well that it will be 'borrowed' for someone else's room. They will just have to buy their own.

I use this for my bedroom door that sits in the door frame funny and bangs around easily if there is wind (or a pesky cat feeling left out!) I've been through a few cheapo dollar store door stops that wedge underneath the door. I wear them OUT! So i thought maybe I'd try something a little more substantial. And while the material is definitely more rugged than the cheap stuff, there is nothing "large" about this thing. The description on this product says "LARGE" and that made me a little nervous, how big is a large doorstop?! I was a little disappointed to find out it isn't any bigger than your run-of-the-mill wedge you can find anywhere. The product description also includes the precise measurements, but obviously I don't read the fine print, that's my bad. I really was hoping for a LARGE doorstop. I decided to keep it and try it out. So far I haven't had any problems with my door slamming. It definitely is sturdy, thick ribbed black rubber, with a very solid metal handle. If you have bare floors, kept them swept, because dust and grit will collect on the bottom of this and make it lose traction.

Nice door stopper, but the door I purchased it for is very big and heavy and automatically swings shut for security purposes. When I use this door stopper periodically, it is kind of tricky to wedge it under the door so that the door stays open; it usually takes me about three tries, and that is with kicking it hard under the door. I think I may have needed to purchase a "kick up or down" type door stopper that was attached to the door to really be easy to use, but I did not want other staff to have ready access to be able to prop the door open (for security reasons). Overall, it is a good product and should work well on most large doors, I would think.

I love this door stop. It is bulky and beefy. Just what I needed to keep my classroom door open. Easy to use regardless of the side it falls on. I just ordered another for my other door. Other doorstops may be more streamlined but this doorstop gets the job done. I just need to worry about it walking away because it is so useful. :-)

Love this door stopper. We rent a condo and need to be able to keep our dog in the bedroom when the building staff come in to our unit. We have a beautiful sliding barn door and we didn’t want to drill and put anything in the wall, floor or door itself. The stopper is perfect - we can close the door and our dog can’t open it. It doesn’t mark the floor and the handle makes it easy to pull out when it’s wedged in. It’s perfect.

This is quite a great door stop. Non slip, solid and functional. I hang it on the wall so it is easy to find.

The metal grip on the door stopper quickly fell off. Works okay without it. Recommend paying a little more for something that doesn’t break.

It's ok and well built. It does little to hold the door from sliding if there are strong winds like I have.
