Can you really see the fingerprints on paper when using the inkless pad?

Absolutely! This is the same kind of ink used at the bank and other places that use fingerprints for identity on documents. Initially your finger appears to have ink on it and when the ink hits the paper it is permanent. Slowly the "ink" on your finger fades and wipes right off with no stain whatsoever. Highly recommend this product.

can this be used for passports

Yes it can I did mine with with n had no issue

How long can I keep it packed and then open to use it. Does it dry off when its packed? Can I use it like 10-12 months after purchase?

I don't know about the first two questions but we used ours in Feb and it's till good 7 months later.

Does anyone have any idea whether this pad could be used to print dog noses?

No. The skin has to be dry on your fingers to make a usable print.
