I have gotten to really love having fresh ground pepper on my salad and fresh ground pink Himalayan salt versus table salt. This is the perfect size and easy to use. I am concerned that over time the springs will discontinue functioning, but with all the other kid items I keep in my purse/diaper bag it’s not too heavy and can refill over and over! Everyone loves it and uses it when I pull it out of it’s cool and durable travel bag... a luxury, but worth it for the tasty food I get to consume.

These are wonderful. I bought them for traveling as many rental homes do not have reliable salt and pepper. They don’t hold a ton but work for week trip. Perfect for scrambled eggs in the morning. The one thing I wish is that the stand would also fit in the cute little canvas bag. That would make it more portable. I’m a little concerned I’m going to misplace it. But honestly they works so great, couldn’t dock a star for that. Just be aware you may need to find a different place to store the stand when traveling if you plan to bring it.

There is so much to love about this product. The name of the company for starters! And really delightful to open, with so many things I didn't realize I would receive, such as the matching stand so you can easily keep them together on your counter. I got them because I wanted something small and handy for my office, and I liked the travel bag, which by the way is made of very nice material. The packaging was impressive and I loved the note about my product that came inside. It also came with salt and pepper to get you started! Now I have spoiled almost all the surprises. This is so nice I added it to my gift list.

The (almost) perfect and super easy-to-use portable luxurious grinder set! The only improvement is that I wish there was a zipper pocket in the case for the stand to go in, and I wish the case zipped up instead of the drawstring. I can foresee the stand possibly getting damaged without a case, especially since these are meant to be taken on trips and packed away. Additionally, to keep these clean and prevent any dust from getting in, I wish the case zipped up or folded over with a snap or something—I just wish it closed more securely. It’s also a bit tight, so it’s difficult to fit the grinders into the case; this may go away with time as the leather stretches out though. Lastly, I wish these came with some sort of caps to go over the ends to prevent any residual grindings from spilling out. Other than these suggested improvements, the overall quality of the product is excellent, and it is easy to use. I love that it came ready with salt and pepper included. It also seems to be durable, though I’ve only had it a few days.

I thought somehow I'd be disappointed in these, but the only niggle I have is their diameter. Because of their size and the rod down the middle, they can be more difficult to fill than you might expect. So, I guess I wish they were maybe 1/8 or 1/4 inch larger diameter. However, they're so cool and handy, I'm contemplating buying some more. I could buy more for gifts, my "go bag," etc. I might even spring extra for the set made of stainless, which I'd bet travel better. Someone mentioned the one-handed operation, and I'd agree—good for seasoning the hole in an avocado where the pit was, for example. I also like the little ditty bag they come with.

In hindsight, this a nice novelty to have to carry with you. Although salt and pepper is found almost anywhere and not necessary to keep with you, I keep this in my backpackging mess kit. I usually pre-season prep food for ease but its a bourgeoisie knick knack to have =) The way it is constructed would last quite some time. Its clear to see easily how much you have. Its is a fairly thick acrylic body and its a springloaded rod rasping action that grinds the pepper and salt. Such a simple mechanism which gives it a such small form-facter and ease of use. You just depress the top plunger/button to grind it with one hand right over your food. Very user friendly. I really like this product even though I have used it so seldomly.

The idea of a travel sized grinder is fantastic. The mechanism in these grinders works better than I expected. They hold a good amount, I travel for work, and use these daily, I only have to re-fill every 2 or 3 weeks. Now the negatives, price is quite high, and what you get is small, simple to manufacture, and not exactly what I would call "top quality" or a "show piece" by any means, but very functional. Second (and where my biggest issue lies), it comes with a cheapo, mock leather bag to hold the set. But the bag is too short and doesn't even fit the product. There is a drawstring to "close" the bag/pouch, but being that it's too short to hold the grinders, when you tighten and tie the drawstring, the tops of the grinders are above/stick out?!? The bag is kind of essential, since these are meant for travel, so they stay together and don't get scratched up. Well about 2 weeks after purchase, for their first re-fill, I take the pouch with grinders out of my travel bag, walk through the kitchen to my salt and peppercorns for refilling, and one of the grinders slipps completely out of the bag (despite being in bag as deep as you can push them, and drawstring pulled tight and tied), it hits the floor with a "THUDD", and the top half of the grinder pulled partially out of the clear window portion and is now crooked or bent. I have tried a few ways to get it to seat back in properly, but nothing has worked. The only thing I have left to consider is putting it in a vice and squeezing it back in with force, or tapping on it with a small hammer, just enough!?!.. Now these are made for travel, so a bag/pouch is kind of essential. But at this price point, why can't you make a pouch that actually fits these? I don't get it. I would hesitate to make this purchase again from this company. Good idea, but for this price what you get is a bit of a let down. Other similar products are on the market, maybe one of them is better.

Great product! Small enough to keep in a purse with the convenient pouch and big enough to use several times before having to refill. No more long wait at the restaurant to get the water to bring the pepper mill.... And a good conversation piece too when you pull this out of your purse at the restaurant with friends!
