very useful
If you're looking at this accessory, you already know what Black + Decker's Matrix system is. This air pump has become one of my favorite and most used accessories in the system. The convenience, portability and ability have made this my pump of choice. The other compressors I have, haven't even been used since I got this pump accessory. Not only does it attach to the cordless tool body, but the corded drill body as well. That makes it excellent for in shop jobs. This is a pump for pressure, not volume. So, If you're looking to fill inflatables, this won't be the pump you'll want. It would do the job but much too slowly. My neighbors have learned that I have this and I am now the guy they seek when they need their car tires inflated. I myself own several bicycles. With inflation pressures from 65 to 110 psi this pump can handle them all. This also has onboard storage for the presta adaptor and sports inflation needle. I think so much of this pump, that I've purchased a second, just incase the one I'm using now, fails.

Great for those few tires that always leak! (Hose gets hot fair warning)
WOW! On x1 1.5 amp battery that i had been using it pumped all 4 four of my tires! 2 tires were at 28 psi and went up to 32 psi. two other tires that are slow leaking on me were at 18 and 20 psi. It took 3-5 minutes to pump the ones that were really low but I ended up pumping them all to 35 PSI (according to the gauge) because other reviewers have said it reads 1-2 psi too high. But wow Im impressed! I am gonna buy a whole second matrix and 2 amp battery just to keep in my car just for this attachment! (charger and power inverter too of course) CON: The only thing I've found that could be an issue is how hot the air tube gets and the metal fittings and gauge. Could be dangerous but I'm in detroit so its so cold. I make lemonade and call it a free hand warmer :D Tip: Would make for a good car kit to have a spare matrix 20v in the trunk, the impact driver attachment with a socket adapter and the socket size for your lug nuts! (plus the battery, charger and a small 1 amp power inverter incase the 20v battery dies on ya) That way if you get a flat, and your spare is low on air, you can pump the spare in your trunk, then remove the lugs with the impact driver, also you can know they are tightened good from the impact driver and feel safer riding down the road on a non professionally installed tire. For sure what I'm doing. (Plus its always nice to be prepared in case a pretty lady is stuck with a flat and you have a mobile tire shop)

Best B&D accessory ever
Best B&D accessory ever!* I have had small AC compressors, many emergency jumper batteries that include compressors. This tool is a quantum leap above all that came before. I bought a Matrix drill, because you cannot have too many cordless drills. I bought this accessory because my emergency battery was ruined. So, why does this rock. 1. Fast, did I say FAST. The compressors I have used before start to crawl around 28 PSI. This morning I went from 28 to 35 PSI in well under a minute. I recently sold my other car & left my pressure gauge in it so I cannot verify how accurate the gauge is. New pressure gauge on the way, I will amend this review if there is a problem. 2. Quiet for what it is. About 50% less loud than my last jumper battery. 3. Lightweight 4. Extremely ergonomic. You can connect it & position it so the gauge is easy to read. The hose could be a smidge longer for when the stem is at the very bottom of the tire. 5. Great design on the storage of the ball needle. One downside, be careful, the compressor will get so hot it could definitely burn a misplaced hand on the compressor or the hose. *If you have need to fill tires, balls, etc

works,, but just not the greatest attachment
I got this cuz I wanna get all the matrix attachments really... lol I can find uses for it but it's not a go to daily thing ya know? but it does work perfectly for like say pumping up your wheelbarrows tire or sumn, maybe a dirt bike tire,,,but I tried w my pickup truck (which wasn't flat, just a bit low) and boy did it struggle lol.. after like 30 seconds it started to bog out like the battery was dying, but it was just too much for this thing to push out. once it started to struggle n sound like a fat kid running uphill,,it wouldn't improve if u let off the trigger for a few seconds or nothing. but then again this was a Chevy s10 tire,,, which equals like at least 40 wheelbarrow wheels forsure lol, and I feel like that is indicative of the whole black and decker matrix system. good for the small jobs but when it comes time for the real deal,,, it's gonna start sweatin lol. tbh I prefer the matrix set for work as I can keep it all in the truck, and not have to lug around 900lbs of tool like u normally would, minus the 2 or 3 specific tools u know you'll need for whatever job, in which case I've got my Porter Cable jawns (which I've adapted to run off my b&d 20v batteries so they can be a part of the matrix setup too!) lol as far as matrix attachments go tho,,, this one prolly doesn't need to be anywhere near the top of the list of which ones to get... unless you blow up like 500 balls daily,,, in which case, cop it n get to blowin them balls fam! hehhhh

For the occasional user, this is an inexpensive option that works beautifully
I spent far too much time looking for a tire pump to easily do a routine (monthly) check and inflation of tires. I just want to make sure the tires on our car aren't too low. Well, there are quite a few options - and so many of them are powered by a car battery. I understand the need of you want to use the inflator for emergencies - but personally, if I have an emergency I'll call AAA. So, I just wanted this thing for the garage. Of course, plugging in to an electrical outlet can be a pain too, since you can run out of cord as you walk around the car. This tools is one of the many I have for my Matrix drill. I was a little shocked that it worked so well - it provided an accurate reading of the pressure and with less than a minute of pumping inflated about 2 psi to bring a tire back to norm. Within a few minutes the car was done, and the battery on my Matrix almost depleted. That's okay - it did the job without cables, painful setup, and rather quickly. For the price, I'm really happy with this discovery. Considering I only expect to use it a few times a year - it's perfect.

Another great addition to the B&D Matrix system
I've been using the B&D line of Matrix-based tool heads for several years now, drill, mini-saw, saber saw, sander, you name it. While they are not suitable for jobs involving heavy duty or extended work, they are incredibly well designed for addressing typical homeowner needs. I even have their mini hedge trimmer, which I've found to be great for touch ups. This is another cleverly designed tool in the arsenal of ones that will fit on the Matrix power handle (mine is the 20V model). It is a bit noisy, and does get hot in extended use, but the convenience is unreal. I have a serious compressor I used to resort to when needing to pump up a bicycle tire after changing a tube or for topping off tires on my cars and it's a royal pain to set it up for such minor tasks. This makes that exercise trivial. I find it just as easy an insert on my Matrix power handle as any of my other matrix tool heads. It is no more difficult to attach to a tire valve than the tire gauge I have for my large compressor. If you use the Matrix tool system I can recommend this as a worthy addition to your collection of heads.

Goodbye unreliable gas station air pumps!
I was sceptical about adding this to my Matrix attachment arsenal, but very glad I did. Was going to do a 2 week long road trip and I needed something for emergencies. This turned out to be perfect. Barely needed on the road, but it managed to get my little spare back to life before we hit the road. It does get hot during long use, but I think I did a couple of minutes on a couple of minutes off and got the spare to where I needed in about 3 rounds. I only did that to be safe on the safe side and keep the hose from overheating and shortening its life span. I only used it once on my truck on the road and since that was just to tip off a low tire, it barely got warm doing that job. Which is what I really wanted in order to not deal with gas station pumps anymore. This guy is perfect for that and even to revive a completely dead tire if you let it cool off during filling. I'm sure it's a breeze for filling up balls, kayaks or tubes. I'm hoping to find the right attachment to use it on my camping air mattress.

It worked fine, but with two provisos
I used this to successfully bring my car tires up to pressure. It worked fine, but with two provisos. FIRST, as others have said, after a couple of minutes of use, this gets very hot. This is especially true of the small metal crimps that hold the bits of rubber tubing together - they get so hot that I worried that the rubber might melt. I was adjusting the pressures on 3 cars - so, 12 tires. 3 of them were already at pressure, so actually I used it to re-inflate 9 tires (adding about 3psi to each). I decided NOT to wait to let it cool down (on the basis of "I may as well find out now if it can't do the job - if that happens, I'll return it") and, despite the heat, it held up. So, I'm keeping it :-) SECOND, the pressure meter isn't accurate - it reads about 3psi too low (so a tire that 3 different pressure checkers show is at 32psi is displayed, by this unit, as 29psi). Not a big problem, as long as it's consistent.
