Great Plastalina clay for sculpting
I sculpt faces - this is wonderful plastalina clay for moldability!

High quality product.
You will need a heat lamp (10 minutes under a 100 watt bulb) or some other method to soften up this clay. Once soft it’s workable for quite some time. Sets up firmly once cooled down. Fairly priced. I have reordered more.

Excellent media
My daughter and I wanted to try sculpting. The non-drying nature is perfect for trial and error. I thought the medium clay was too soft and ordered hard. She wanted soft. It turns out that mixing and matching gives you the chance to make more. More detail, more size options, more creativity. Really need to just try and learn from the process. Then wonder when your kid passed you by with her amazing abilities to sculp.

REALLY GOOD
Excellent material for sculpting, it is soft, and the presentation varies when you receive it, which caused me distrust at first, but it is the same brand that is advertised, and it is the same quality.

Decent soft clay but WILL INHIBIT SILICONE
This was a very good clay for a beginner sculptor like myself. I used it to make a plaster mold for a silicone mask. However, it did inhibit any silicone it touched. It may not be all silicone but if you are using platinum silicone definitely do a test. In my sample tests all silicone touching this clay was inhibited about a millimeter in, leaving it gel like and very tacky. other thing to note, this clay is pretty soft, I had to refrigerate it when moving onto the final processing of the clay as it would roll up and pill under metal and rubber tools when warm. Would recommend a firmer clay for beginners looking for a smooth final product.

and it was perfect. I saw some comments stating that it was ...
I bought this as part of a figure modeling class, and it was perfect. I saw some comments stating that it was too hard, and the professor recommended the use of a clip on lamp pointed at the chunk of clay to keep it workable. I found that slicing small strips using a clay slicer then layering these onto the model and smoothing them as you go was the best and fastest way to work with this. I found no need for the heat lamp, and if you grab a piece thats too big you can work it in your hands for a few seconds to warm it up. In the end it comes to a nice shiny finish just using your hands and, and was a joy to work with compared to other kinds of clay that I have used.

Overpriced but Great Product
Absolutely perfect medium for working on sculptures but you may need HARD for more details but for me it's perfect. It's comparable with Super Sculpey medium. except only downside is that I feel like it sticks to everything - surface, tools, clothing, etc. I don't recommend buying a single block on here at all, however; it is much too overpriced. Either buy monster clay or a box of 5 blocks/10lbs; much more worth it. I use this when I want to create single casts/molds for details or effects on figurines that need to be lighter or something more "mass" produced. Otherwise I use super sculpey medium for everything
