Perixx PERIPRO-401 PS2 to USB Adapter for Keyboard and Mouse - Built-in USB Controller - Black

Worked perfectly to connect my note 9 to a ps/2 keyboard and mouse, and then to a 27 inch monitor. I am quite pleased.

Great response time on my unicomp 104, love that it splits off to two ports for mouse and keyboard.

Works with IBM Model F (with AT F to PS/2 M) to PC.

I have an old (but high quality) KVM switch that only outputs PS/2. I have a new computer with no PS/2 ports, so I needed to convert PS/2 to USB. I tried 4 converters, and this in the only one that works. It will occasionally repeat a single key on the keyboard (type "e" once, get "eeeeeeeeeeeeeee") but that doesn't happen often and I can live with it. I've used it for 17 days now, and it's been reliable.I also have a Perixx PS/2 mouse, and it's the only PS/2 mouse I've bought in the last few years that works reliably for more than a year. In the future, if I need something and Perixx sells it, I will buy the Perixx.

I have an antique KVM system attached to several servers. This adapter works perfectly to let a newer machine (with no PS2 ports) to be attached to the system.

This device works flawless really impressed. I have an old IBM SK-8840 UltraNav keyboard with the trackpoint and trackpad from a KVM I wanted to use for a travel keyboard for my Thinkpad laptop. I figured the trackpoint would work but wasn't sure how the touchpad would work. Both the trackpoint and trackpad on the keyboard work without issues and I haven't noticed any double typing or missed keys. Device seems well built, wiring seems quality and looks like it should hold up.

Seems well made and a great option for many devices, hence three stars... **BUT** ... the "key" slots - those plastic tabs in PS/2 jacks that stop you from plugging them in the wrong way and damaging the pins - are a bit smaller on this adapter than on original PS/2 ports. For many (maybe most?) devices, I imagine that's fine, but in the 90's they absolutely did manufacture some jacks to use that full size. If, like me, you have a keyboard or mouse with those wider-key PS/2 jacks, this adapter won't work because they simply can't be plugged in to each other.

I have only had the adapter for a few days. I am using it to connect my old favorite keyboard to my brand new desktop computer. So far so good; working perfectly. The adapter seems to be well made so hopefully it will last for many years.

Use this to run my personal ps/2 keyboard from my early pc days. Plug it in and play, no huss no fuss, just straight on keyboard ps/2 port to usb-A connector. Works like a charm.

These adapters are excellent! They claim to be KVM compatible and they truly are! I was able to connect two new PCs that don't have PS2 keyboard or mouse sockets to my aging 4 port KVM that has only PS2 keyboard/mouse sockets. I've tried "passive" adapters before without success. These worked first time and so well priced. Very pleased!
