as advertised
Arrived a day early, that was a good sign. The rack is very well made with nice welds and very sturdy. All nuts and bolts worked smoothly. my old steel rack was a back breaker; this is so light I can easily slip it on the hitch. (I'm 73 years old) Nice light 6 ft long ramp that fits snug on rack, so you have no worries about it slipping as you put the bike on. Very happy with purchase.

Quick and easy to install
Bought this rack to haul bike to and from the track, it’s very sturdy, while light as it is fabricated out of aluminum. Works very well for one bike, saves the need for using a trailer, easy to install

Great Hitch Carrier
The long ramp makes loading so much easier. Really nice hitch carrier. Used it yesterday and was very pleased.

Lightweight, relatively inexpensive, one person installation and removal.
Overall, this seems like a good carrier for my TW200. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the welds between the main supports and the cross braces that the bike sits on. They are not pretty, but they will likely do the job. It came with all of the hardware and pieces. The instructions were pretty straight forward and logical. With a basic socket set it can be assembled by one person. It’s awkward, but not heavy to handle when installing and removing it from the receiver on my truck. I have a 2 1/2” receiver on my Ram 2500 which requires me to use a 2 1/2” to 2” reducer since this is made for a 2” receiver. The anti-wobble accessory seems to do the job, just don’t over tighten as the steel plate the four bolts thread into isn’t very thick. I added two ratchet straps between the outside of the carrier and the tow hook rings on my receiver to assist in stabilizing the bike going down the road, not sure if they really do anything. I test drove this set up all over town for a shake down run and the anti wobble bolts did stay tight, the assembly was still solidly assembled (nothing loosened up, and all of the straps kept the bike secure.). It does bounce around an unsettling amount at times when crossing rough terrain/rail road tracks/etc. but maybe that is to be expected and nothing to worry about. I’m heading up to the Keweenaw Peninsula and hauling my T-Dub up there and back. I’m hoping this carrier will do the job and last for many years.

Great way to carry my dirt bike.
I was very happy with this rack. I use it on the back of an old Land Cruiser to haul an old XR400, which weighs around 300 lbs. I travel over rough forest service roads and it seems safe and stable.

Fits 2024 Tesla Model Y!
See photos. Be sure to put the anti-rattle clamp on the *right* side. It cannot fit on the bottom due to the plastic cowling around the hitch. The Tesla OEM hitch is rated at 350 lbs max for a trailer with a ball mounted up to 8.5" away from the hitch pin. For longer moment arms and a vertically-displaced CG, however, the weight limit decreases due to longer moment arm and rotational forces due to acceleration and braking. For a bike rack, for instance, with estimated CG 32.2" away from the hitch pin, Tesla rates the hitch at 160 lbs max weight of the bikes + bike rack. This Black Widow motorcycle carrier has a moment arm of about 18.5" from the hitch pin, and a vertically-displaced CG of the motorcycle. So, I'm estimating the Tesla OEM hitch rating at 192 lbs. max weight for the motorcycle carrier + motorcycle. But, my setup is 250 lbs motorcycle + 40 lb rack = 290 lbs, or about 100 lbs over even that estimated rating. I'm willing to take the risk and carry my motorcycle around town only, where I'm less likely to hit unexpected potholes at high speeds. Trailers are a pain for a quick trip to the local track. So far it works just fine even with my 290 lbs total weight, which is 100 lbs over my estimated rating. Be sure to use the anti-rattle clamp to hold things secure. To strap down the motorcycle I use 2x heavy-duty 1.5" wide cam buckle straps on the handlebars, 2x 1" wide regular cam buckle straps + axle/handlebar slings on the rear axles, and 2x 1" wide x 4' long lashing straps with cam buckle on each wheel. I do not recommend ratchet straps, as they can be easily over-tightened and damage the front shocks, and they are a pain in the butt to use in comparison.

Great for transporting a moped/scooter
Good quality, easy to assemble. We used it for hauling a Honda metropolitan moped from Indiana to Washington. It is very secure, and hardly rattles at all, even on the biggest potholes. Can't speak to dirt bikes, but if you want something to haul your moped or scooter, this worked well for us.

Highly recommend this quality designed and built Carrier.
As previously stated by others the latest fabricated carrier parts are as you would expect and appreciate. The sound welding is as good as you could expect and want for aluminum. I have many years of metal fabrication experience and appreciate good profile and welding technique. All parts were available, and all bolt holes were located exactly where required. I would recommend to the supplier or fabricator to also band the bolt on support scab plates to the main aluminum frame. They were loose and had cut the bolt bag causing parts to be possibly lost. Very happy with the easy assembly and stoutness of the assembly.
