Review: Very heavy duty works like a charm - Doing a project that required punching holes in a fairly thick cardboard my old style chrome ones that we all seem to have when we were kids in school just did not hold up and bet so I ordered this and wow, not only does it punch card board It goes through 2 to 3 equivalent to about 7 to 10 pages of paper with ease. Definitely a great buy.

Seems like a small thing, but convenient for lefties like me. The other thing is that there is a mark on the front of the punch, and measurement marks along the sides to show exactly where the hole is going to be centered. The chamber to catch the punches is nice and big as well. It cuts through card stock very easily. The only down side is that it seems to be designed for a man’s large hands. When it is open, the reach is almost too much to get my fingers around it. If you have very small hands, this may not be for you. My glove size is a woman’s average. I wish the handles were just a little longer to provide leverage, and how wide it opens was a little less. It will do the job I need it for very well, so it is a keeper.

**Q: is there a way to see where the hole will be?  I would like to use this for my happy planner and need the holes to line up. Thanks**
A: Yes, you can see where the holes will be punched... I recommend punching some holes in a regular sheet of paper first until you are comfortable you know where the hole will be punched.

**Q: Is it big enough to punch through cardboard?**
A: it is a very sturdy punch and I've made holes in ten pieces of 65lb. card stock. if it's a solid piece of like backing board/mat board it might ruin the punch... if its corrugated cardboard it probably would go through because of the nature of the cardboard..

**Q: Can this punch through 1/4" thick items?**
A: it is pretty strong, but no- something that thick would not fit in the opening. Too bad too, they are great otherwise.

**Q: Can someone tell me where these are manufactured?**
A: Brittany, mine are not in the packaging. but my envelope punch is still in it's package and it has made in China on it..  So I'm guessing that the Crop-A-Dile are also.  I have 4 of the Crop-A-Dile punches and I really like them.  I use at least one of them every day. I just recently got the 1/4" and 3/8" rounder and I use the them a lot too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Punches Through Everything

We had a paper punch with colored handles that we had paid a premium for from a scrapbook place. When we were punching through a couple of layers getting ready for Christmas, our punch collapsed on itself. We were going to replace it and saw this one. It is supposed to be able to punch through multiple layers, cardboard, and really heavy stuff. It sounded perfect for different craft projects that we might do. Plus it had nice looking cushioned handles. Since it was only a couple of dollars more than the old one, we sent for it. This first one we got, the compartment that holds the punches fell out when we opened it. There didn't seem to be any way to put it back in. We sent it back (Amazon paid postage), and very quickly received another punch. This one had all the parts attached, and worked as claimed. We immediately started punching different items--from thin to thick--and it worked great. Your hand doesn't feel the pressure, not matter how heavy the material. Be aware that this is a bit larger on the part that you push. I have small hands, and am able to do it. Wish it was a tad smaller, but like it, and like what it is able to do. I am also thrilled it doesn't hurt my hands like the old one did. Very happy with the purchase, and recommend.
