These spikes are brilliant for keeping cats off your gardens

This baffles squirrels. Yay. But, the holes are so small that I have to cut them to let plants grow through. I still recommend but if manufacturers are reading reviews, update the product so bulbs etc can grow without strangling.

I ordered this because I had a massive problem with foxes digging in my large planters and pots. They've been causing destruction each night completely digging up my plants. I bought one roll to try it out and after installing it in my pots no fox damage after the first night. Additional metal pegs are definitely needed though which I ordered seperately. I've now also ordered a second roll for my remaining pots. I've read previous reviews that there is a problem with the product due to it being rolled but I found it very easy to flatten it by rolling it the opposite side and pressing on it.

Would recommend this product but had to cover my flower trough with it. I just cut to size. It was a bit trial and error at first as cat kept coming back but fingers crossed it’s sorted now. The only thing is I could have done with more pegs but this was only because I used loads of strips. U can buy this cheap enough anyway.

It works, the dog no longer is able to dig by the fence. Not quite sure mine was 4m though as it didn't go anywhere near my estimation it should have gone.

Fitted this on top of the soil under my hedges to stop my dog digging big trenches. I thought it would last a day and she would rip it apart. But it has worked a treat and is still in place, no digging 3 months later. Easy to fit and secure with the metal pins. Highly recommend.

It took me quite some time before I ran into this - I’ve been thru hell and back with a whole gang of 6 foxes, then one cub reaaally took a liking to my place and decided this garden will be his personal play pan. We got huge pots for trees, the fox would hide anything from bags of chips the builders were having, to random baggie of meat that he found. Otherwise he just enjoy stretching his paws and blowing things up like my worst nightmare. On top of it, it’s terrifying to run into the fox at 1am or worse, awakened by it at 3am, which was also nightly. We’ve laid boards of plastic spikes, expensive solar ultrasound with lights… still coming strong, even with a persistent shaker of chilli powder on soil. Nothing was 100% sending him away. I was hesitant to purchase these spikes, as I really wasn’t seeing how a roll of plastic mesh spikes with some pins could remotely justify for a whopping £22 of my hard earned (and not coming in) cash. I worked with factories as an product designer, so I know how much it cost to manufacture something like that. Which isn’t nowhere near THIS price being charged. But alas! I needed something, anything. Well. Of course. This was the hell Mary that actually WORKED. Learning from the other reviews, I got an extra 100 pins too at the same order just to make sure we have enough to secure the edges. The compost we have in the pots have a lovely loose texture - great fun for digging and hiding, but also you can lift up the edges - so the more pins anchored in different angles helped this from being pulled up by the edge. My man also didn’t fill in the holes previously and dump the dirt on top after. So I went back later to pull the spike mesh up and pin it back on. Job done right too from get go. It’s been less than a week? But it’s such a joy that I haven’t had to clean up the compost, worry about the trees that we’re seeing roots at one point, and almost feeling like a queen with my own castle again. Although a Queen with a bit less cash (and exhausted af from it all), but alas, peace of mind I so needed. Pretending I bought the fox a few rounds of martinis and never come back. That’d make it easier for you to justify? Yeah, if you’re up all night, feel like you’ve been invaded and you can’t take it no more, these may just work for you better than a field of spikes that they just walk a little slower on.

I've German Shepherd's for almost 12 years and one of the challenges (with any dog I guess) is dealing with their requirement to dig... everywhere and everything in the garden. So, I came across these and read the reviews and thought I'd give them a try. They are perfect. Not only are they not harmful, they are very effective as a deterrent. So, I've put them everywhere else she might have resorted to - no more digging. She hasn't dug anyway at all because she can't. She is much more occupied with her ball now as a result. An added bonus is that on those very rare occasions we had the odd fox in the garden once they knew the dog was inside for the night, we don't have those anymore either.

Ich hatte das Problem dass ständig Katzen auf das Fensterbrett außen sprange. Grundsätzlich kein Problem, wäre nicht die Fassade gerade neu gemacht worden und nun sind überall Katzenpfotenabdrücke an der Fassade erkennbar. Aber damit ist jetzt Schluss. Einfach zurechtgeschnitten und auf die Fensterbretter gelegt. Einmal dürfte noch eine Katze einen Sprung gewagt haben... dann war aber Ruhe! :-)

Great for keeping dogs, cats, squirrels, even armadillos out of my garden, both veggie and flower. Easy to use, easy to cut to size, come with anchors so no one can lift it up out of place. Love these prickle strips better than the precut ones.

J’ai trouvé cet outillage très utile pour éloigner le chat de la voisine et surtout ses crottes, mais n’oubliez pas de disposer aussi des ronces. Très efficace

Lo compré para una jardinera que era el “pipican” de los gatos del barrio. Había probado con todo tipo de productos repelentes, otras soluciones y nada... cada noche venian a hacer sus necesidades. La malla lleva ya varias semanas instalada ¡y desd que está puesta no han vuelto! Al fin hemos podido arreglar la jardinera y se acabaron los problemas con los gatos. La malla no los lastima, pero resulta muy molesta para ellos para caminar y les impide escarbar. ¡Muy satisfechos con la compra!
